I had a bowel obstruction last month, so they scheduled a scope for Sept. 12.  about 4 days later I get a call saying the doc wants to do another scope on the 23rd.  He mentioned taking some biopsies...I'm worried that it's some kind of malignant tumor.  I know it's not because I wasn't "clean"...it even says in my chart that I was clean.  Some how the nurse didn't know why either, and didn't bother to go ask the doc.
Anyone with similar experiences??

I would ask why before scheduling. that seems strange that you are not told why the Dr wants biopsies, he should have done them the first time around.

I have not had an obstruction though so I am no expert. I do think you deserve to know, bad news or good news is better than no news to me.

Well, they did the second colonoscopy and the biopsies came back fine.  No cancer!

Now if I could just get rid of this kidney stone!
