Hello,
I normally post on the anxiety forum, however my boyfriend has Chrons disease and I just had a quick question for you. Yesterday he had this shooting pain in the middle of his torso and that made him so sick that he could barely move. He said it was almost like there was a huge clump of something that was trying to move through his intestines.

Has anyone else ever felt this way? The only other time this happened was when we went on a tripp to CO but we thought he was just sick because of the elevation change. If anyone could le me know what your thoughts are that would be great!

Hi Kate,
Could it be an obstruction? Im not great at diagnosing but if it continues I would suggest he seek a doctor. I hope it was just a one off thing for him though.

I would guess either a restriction in the bowel or the start of IBS where the bowel is sensitive to anything passing through. Was the pain coming in waves? How long has it been since the CO trip? I am just trying to get a feel for the urgency of the problem. He should take such incidents of pain to his doc just for proper feedback. They can do a better assessment than we can and if it is a restriction, they can be dangerous.
