I just posted another post about this, but thought I would open it up to everyone. I've been on Humira for 4 1/2 months and over the last few weeks, I've had tingling in my hands and back. I spoke to my GI and he said it could be the onset of MS or peripheral neuropathy so I should be tested by my PCP and a neurologist. I know my B-12 is fine, so it can't be that. Of course I am petrified. Does anyone have experience with this??? Thanks for your help!

I'm sure someone will come along who's been on it longer than I am/was, but...

After the four loading doses I experienced tingling in my fingers... almost like a spiderweb that would tingle from the tips up my hand and then linger. The same thing happened after the two "booster" shots... no real rhyme or reason to when it would happen, but I have never had that symptom prior to starting Humira. Also, I would have similar tingling in my legs, or on the outer sides of my arms... it may sound cheesy, but the best way I can describe it is similar to the way someone would describe "feeling a ghost".... there's nothing wrong, and then all of a sudden the tingles come on like a chill, and then just as quickly they're gone.

It's been almost a month since I quit my Humira, and I haven't experienced any more "tingly episodes" lately, so I'm thinking that maybe it's the Humira itself. It might be worth getting tested as your doctor advises, but I wouldn't worry about it too much. Like I said... my tingling went away...

Thanks for your feedback. I get the same similar tingling and chill feeling all over my body, and then it goes away. It is mostly in my hands however, and I do notice a sort of burning, aching sensation too.

Quick question: Why did you go off the Humira .... b/c it wasn't working or because of the tingling?
Thanks!

I get the tingling quite often with Humira too.

Still, if your doctor thinks you should be tested for other things, get tested. If nothing else, it might mean you can relax if the tests come back clear.

It's an uphill struggle, isn't it? You'd think *one* challenge would be enough in this life. eyes
