shocked  I have been having a minor flare the past two weeks...I have been on 6 mp almost a year...was doing great upon untill recently...dont know what triggered this... Iimmediatley started monitoring my diet and resting...this morning I started passing bloody stools...not the bright red but the deep red that scares the crap out of ya!
 
My GI office got me in for Wednesday the first...What do I do until then...do I go on a liquid diet until then...I havent had this happen in so long I have no idea what to do?

If you don't remember what has worked for you in the past, then yes - I would do a liquid diet myself. Lots of broth, jello, and vitamin packed juices. So sorry, you're flaring... ~best of luck at the doc's
26f, dx'd CD July '05 after 6 fistula/abscess surgeries
Currently running on Humira and Hope.

Yes, liquid diet is a must! Food passing through that inflammation will only make it worse!
150mg Azathioprine, Lomotil, Iron, Nexium 2/day, Fentanyl patch, Oxycodone, Baclofin
Crohn's, Fibromyalgia, Several bulging discs, Bone spurs, Osteoarthritis, Osteopenia, Reflux, Stenosis, Strictures, Dengenerating facet joints

I agree with watching what you eat. Keep an eye on how much blood your losing too. We can lose a lot very quickly, and then it becomes an emergency situation that can't wait that many days!

Diagnosed with Crohn's Disease 2/06 after sever GI bleed. Has been suffering since 1998. History of rectal fistula and gallbladder removal. Taking Asacol, Questran, Toprol XL (for high blood pressure). Tapered off prednisone a month ago!
