cry  with Crohn's disease. Out of the breast cancer and a weak heart, it was the Crohn's in the end that took her life. I am relieved she is in a better place with the Lord and savior but I am brokenhearted that she is gone.

She ended up passing due to an obstruction and she had nothing left to operate on, so they sent her home with hospice on Monday, and after not being able to keep even water down...she slipped away.

so sad....I just really am hoping I do not end up like that in the end.....she died peacefully but I truly don't want to die because of my Crohns....I never thought people actually did die of it, but it happens. SO take care of yourself everyone. Avoid surgeries until last resort and take your meds.

Please say a prayer formy family and that God will give us all comfort during this hard time. Thanks all of you for your support and care.

Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength

((((SONGSTRESS)))) My thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. I'm glad she's in a better place, and free of pain now.

You are right about having surgery. I haven't lost any intestine yet, and will hang on to all of it as long as I can. For me that will truely be a last resort. I'm hoping they keep coming out with medications, so that our odds of surgery gets less and less. So that you and I won't end up in that terrible position.

Take care of yourself okay.

Im very sorry for your loss, I actually am kind of going through the same thing right now, only mine is still hanging on, she has liver cancer, and just went into palliative care, she is in final stages, and is going to die very soon, they did not take her liver, because they already took, her breasts, her ovaries, her bowel, and her uterus, there wasnt a lot left to take, and with the outcome of usual liver cancer anyways, the doctor just thought it would be best to let it run its course, my what a fast one it has been. She only found out like 2 months ago I think
The other day, she had to have 4 liters of fluid drained off of her liver........
I do not know how to deal with this, she is a very special woman to me, not to mention, i have never had anyone this close to me die, and she is only 69, it really really sucks, bad, i cry almost every night, luckily I have a very supportive boyfriend,
Again I am soo sooo sorry for your loss

mom1978, I'm so sorry you're having to go through this too. I lost my Grandma 9 years ago, out of the blue from a massive stroke. She also went through a lot with having breast cancer, and had just recovered from surgery from that. It was a shocker for us. I was also super close to her, and it still hurts to this day. I think about her all the time.

I'm glad your boyfriend is there for you, you'll need lots of support right now and in the future. You and your family is also in my prayers!

Yes, I too was very close to my grandmother and know the pain. (She is essentially the one who raised me.) It was a bladder infection that went septic for her.

Thank you for sharing... You're both in my thoughts!
