Anyone can give up, it's the easiest thing in the world to do. But to hold it together when everyone else would understand if you fell apart, that's true strength

I have been on it for about 2 months and have had no side effects, except an occasional headache.

Diagnosed with crohn's in January 2008!
Pentasa 1000 mg 4 times a day
Was on topamax for migraines...off now to try to get pregnant
No longer on Nexium...well now i"m back on it!
On Entocourt for the next 6 weeks to see if I can get out of my flare!

I am 27 years old and have been married for 2 1/2 years.  My husband and I are currently going to try to get pregnant.  This is our first month trying, so wish us luck!!  (No longer trying due to all the meds and my flare! :-(  Hopefully we'll get to try again soon!!!)

Entocort has less systemic side effects than Pred. I like it because I don't get the insomnia and crazy appetite or moon face like I did with the Pred. Some folks will get some side effects, but most do better side effects wise with the Entocort. Good luck!
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 32 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec 60 mg, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Recently diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and doing tests to see if I have Inflammatory Arthritis or AS.

I've been on it a year and I believe in does make you gain a bit of weight, and I don't overeat. I've noticed being on the max dose I get more irritable in high tension situation and will have a surge of anxiety out of nowhere and in situations that don't warrant anxiety. When I was off of it for about a month in a half, these symptoms disappeared so pretty sure it was from the Entocort because they came back when I resumed the drug. All in all, the side effects are mild and I can definitely tolerate them compared to the alternative....
Pentasa- 1000mg/2x 1/08; Percocet
Remicade 1st infusion 7/24/08
Ultram ER 200mg; Prilosec 40mg; Xanax-ANXIETY; Cymbalta 60mg
Entocort 9mg
Probiotic
Ferrous Sulfate 325mg/daily for anemia
Azathioprine 150mg
Currently on a Low-residue diet as of 11/26

I'm so tired, when will this get better?

I did not gain much weight, even though I was trying to. It did not change my appetite. The main side-effect I have noticed is difficulty concentrating. I also think it has made my PMS-related irritability worse, but outside of that time of the month, not a problem.
July 2007 Drug-Induced Liver Injury
January 2008 Crohn's Ileitis
Currently trying...
Entocort, Enteral Nutrition, Omega-3 (Flax Oil and Fish Oil), VSL#3, Vitamin E

I didn't gain weight on it, but it caused my fibromyalgia pain to go through the roof. I hurt so badly I couldn't eve think straight. I don't want to use it again. I'd rather do pred.
