Well now that I have been on a liquid diet for 4 1/2 weeks, 40 mg of pred for 2 weeks (on pred for 8 months total) and a week after starting Humira I was finally able to eat a roll dipped in my broth today with no pain and nausea!!

I am so happy !! To actually be able to chew food....... (well kinda chew soggy mess) What a feeling.

Being on 40mg of pred and a liquid diet sucks. I am always feeling like I am starving to death !! But atleast on a liquid diet I don't gain as much weight...for now.

I start weaning 5 mg every 2 weeks on Friday. Boy I hope it goes well. If I can't get off the pred now that I am on the Humira I will have to have surgery. Which right now is not what I want due to financial reasons.

Now if people stop telling me I look so good and ask how I lost all the weight. (35 pounds in 6 months)

Sorry about people making those comments...I think that happens all too often with those of us that are too thin and people think it looks 'good.' Ah well...

Yeah you got to eat something with a little more substance than water. I too hope you continue to improve.

And for those folks making the comments............just tell them you want to know how I did it? Then give them every single gory detail. That should shut them up:)
