* basic chores - do dishes (done), shower (done), make bed (almost done), tidying, 15 minutes gardening
* Thursday chores - ironing, mending, laundry (if I have a big enough load)
* Crohn's & fibro care - exercise, stretching x 3, meds, strengthening.
* phone the city doctors with a CDAI update (done)

Bonus points:
* get to the train station in spite of flare to wave off a friend who is going overseas
* go to library
* wrap and label some presents / parcels
* post letters & parcels
* keep doing the Christmas shopping. I'm about 40% done already!!

My performance for the last few days has been pathetic.
I still need to get the billin done
I still need to write the plan for my new client
I have another new client in the works -need to get the first one started so I don't get backed up to far.
I teach friday and Saturday today-don't know when I will get everything else done.
Would like to give myself permission to curl up in a ball and sleep until after my appointment with my rhuemy on Monday.
OOps did not mean to start whining.
Take my meds.

sj, yu're sick. Cut yourself some slack. Really. *hug*

When I was at university I knew someone who was having a really bad week and just decided to chuck the whole thing in and watch tv for a day and *only* do work in the ad breaks. She got more done that day than she had in weeks! Would that work for you? Just vegging out in front of the tv, propping the paperwork on your lap and doing it in ad breaks?

Here's another *hug*. Whine away - we'll listen.

Ivy.

PS. Jo, how are you??? How did you go with the docs?

Yes, Jo, how are you. I have missed you these last few days.

Ivy, you are so sweet-I think you're right a TV break day with just doing a bit of billing during the ad breaks would be so nice right now I just don't know how to fit it in (maybe Sunday). And if I fell asleep and missed a few of the ad breaks the world probably would not end.

I have'nt been able to do much till late last night and woke up today feeling more normal (well, for me anyway lol).
I got my stitches out, which was'nt painful (thank heavens) and Dr. confirmed it was a Basal Cell Carcinoma and that he had got it all. He said it would'nt have killed me before the Crohn's does, I had to laugh. Told him I had another one on my chest and that I would be back and he said he will make sure he is on holidays then - funny little old man. He finds my Crohn's disease fascinating and I wish he could be a Gastro, with his dry sense of humour and his compassion I would'nt be so reticient to go for a visit.
Sj - sorry to hear you have so much on when you are not feeling 100%, please dont overdo it.
Ivy - Hope you are doing better, you sound like you are coping well.
Thanks for both asking after me.

Oh, Jo. Thank heavens. I was so worried when you said you had such an unexpectedly big wound. I had your card all ready to send, thinking that the news had been really bad on Tuesday. What a relief!

I reckon *any* carcinoma is scary for an Australian. Do you need follow-up monitoring?

So scary. And I remember you saying that you wear a hat all the time because of the mtx! Gosh, if it can happen to you, it could happen to anyone... Thank heavens you caught it in time.

I didn't make it to the train station - the district nurse dropped in for an impromtu chat, and then I was hit with d and cramps for a while. What a shame.

I'm so bored and frustrated here. Too Crohn'sed to do the things I like to do, photosensitive so unable to get out and garden in the sunshine, fed up with reading and tv and I can't phone anyone and have a chat - when I do, people are like "go away, it's school holidays and we're busy". *sigh* I'm dreading summer.

*And* the city doctors aren't returning my calls. V frustrating, especially as I think I've hit the magic CDAI score to get back on Humira (and it only took me two weeks).

Hum de hum...

sj, I hope your day improves.

Ivy (who will stop whining now).

Ivy - that tv commercial work plan doesn't work for me unless I mute the TV. I get more wrapped up in the ads for some reason than the shows. I read a psych study that even infants playing while the tv is on ignore the show but look up at the commercials. There is usually a jingle or noise or something that just captures your attention. Its the job!
26 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Thanks for being so supportive Ivy :)
I dont need any follow up on this BCC but will see Dermo in Nov about the possible one I have on my chest, I find it funny that these have reared their ugly heads since taking MTX, i know that it takes years for them to appear but they did start when I started the MTX.
Hope you hear from the city docs soon and get good results

Sorry about the whinge before. I got so annoyed with myself after I wrote that, that I decided I may as well leave the house and be miserable, so went down the street (where there are toilets) and got some more Christmas shopping done. Here's to a stress-free Christmas!!

Did the posting; went to the library.

I also got some DVDs, so I don't have to feel so fed up with tv. And I've rung someone. Surprise, surprise, they were out & busy, but hey, I tried...

This photosensitivity is weird. I thought I'd be safe this afternoon because it was cloudy and I was wearing a hat, but no. "Hey," said the pharmacist when I popped into his shop to buy some Caltrate, "what's wrong with you? You're bright red". *sigh* Jo, does this happen to you?

Pacts for the rest of this evening:
* EMAIL the city doctors with my Crohn's diary, seeing as they're not returning phone calls *scowl* (I want my Humira!!)
* get the house tidy so I don't have to worry about it looking bad when the district nurse comes tomorrow
* cook breakfast cereal

Jo, it's a pity they didn't rip all the BCCs off at once. Out here in the country we have general surgeons rather than specialised ones, and they don't worry about treading on other specialists' toes: they just deal with feet, fistulas and face in one single surgery, and save the patient some time in hospital. (He's a good surgeon, too; he's said to be a plastic surgeon who came here for the relaxed lifestyle. Awful personal skills, though).

OK, off I go again. 'night, all.
