So I think something has crawled up my poop-shoot and is standing in my rectom waiting for poo to come down just far enough from my colon, then it takes a chunk (ping-pong sized) and rolls them into a ball (ping-pong ball) and then slowly pushes them out my butt, with a lot of work on my part BTW...

I have NO CLUE as to what's going on with my poops, the back-splash from these miniature cannons are freaking me out to say the least...I have not changed anything at all, same diet, same exercise...I'm bound to get an actual hemheroid if this keeps up...what in the heck could this mean, has anyone had this?

Are you drinking less water? Sometimes drinking less water makes everything harder and smaller to pass. BTW I'm sorry, but your description is quite funny and gave me a good laugh!!! :)

LOL, okay Maybe I'll check into a mild stool softner before something tragic like that happens gail LOL.

It's typical for me to try and put a humorous spin on things when inside I'm terrified that something scary is going on...

I have been drinking lots of water still, because I know it's so important to help flush toxins out that's why this is freaking me out, and I eat plenty of fruits and veggies so I'm getting a good balance of both kinds of fibre, soluble and insoluble...that's why this is so strange for me.

Thanks guys :)

pb4, although I sympathize with you and your poop problem. I would like to thankyou for giving us something to smile at...

I was only thinking today, how I miss the "old Times" when we used to have a good ol' laugh. One I remember in particular
was about multi colored poop, that someone had dreamed about. It was a long time ago and I can't remember who posted it,
but man, did we laugh for a long time about that. I sure miss these times and people!!!!

Hope your situation resolves soon hon...

Sometimes when I re-start my Citrucel capsule after not taking it for a while, I get those too. :) I'm always just glad that mine are just noisy and don't hurt.

I was having those cannon ball issues earlier this year, my dr said it is a good sign when we are not running to the bathroom. He suggested using mirlax when needed. It did the trick, start off slow since we are prone to poo, it works usually after one dose for me.

Eek, no advice, but your description is very creative. :)

Pibbin, you can take citrucel with Crohn's? That stuff makes me feel like I'm dying.
Crohn's (dx 2006), severe migraines, Seborrheic Derm., Hemolytic Uremic Syndrome (1994), ulcers/GERD and possibly Fibromyalgia? Medications: Nexium, Pentasa, Cymbalta, Xysal, Yaz, Percocet or Vicodin as needed, Flintstone Vitamins (my favorite part!), vitamin D once weekly.

Hi Try not to be too afraid if the softener doesn't work call your Dr. One thing I find about crohn's a person gets better or they get sicker and then the hospital helps us along .So one way or the other you will get past this right. You keep in touch because I want to know when to stop worrying about those poop balls flying around. Sometimes a good laugh heps ease the fears. lol gail

I got that shortly after starting the SCD plan and adding propolis. My idea about it is that it is due to the lack of bacterial growth that usually gives more bulk to the stool. I read somewhere that over half of the stool bulk is from bacteria. If you had that extra bulk, it would get handled better by the usual peristalsis and not get rolled into balls. I take it as a sign that the source of the problem is being controlled - that is, no bacterial overgrowth and elimination of the bacteria that the immune system reacts to. I found that eating a lot more fruit helped me (six to eight plums and some watermelon each day), but that may not suit everyone's digestion. I also doubled up on my probiotics.

My Ti has been fine since after my first 2 yrs of having CD (17 yrs now) my CD only affects my colon and anus (with perianal crohn's skin tags)...luckily in my entire 17 yrs I've never been a stricturing crohnie and hopefully it'll stay that way, but thanks for your input gail.

But I do take my probiotic everyday, I eat tons of fruit and veggies daily so I know I'm getting both soluble and insoluble fibre balance, that's why this is so odd, it's like something's changing in my body, I just don't know what...I suppose it could be my IBS but I figured I had that somewhat controlled with diet (mainly fibre) and exercise, not to mention avoiding all the no no's which I've been doing for quite some time now (at least a few yrs).

Thanks to all who've posted and I'm glad I'm able to give you a smile/chuckle because afterall if we couldn't laugh we'd surely be crying.

Just wanted to also mention, nothing eles has changed, I still have about my same frequency for the most part, on occassion maybe a little more then my average of 5/daily, and even with them being the way they are I still feel the urgency, that's what makes it so frustrating along with the fact that now I'm "going" in the eve/night time again as well having about 2-3 when I first get up.

Oh well, I guess I'll just muddle through it and hope to heck it's not a bad sign of things to come.

Thanks guys :)
