Hello, well this is a different thing for me,
All day i was pretty much constipated, but when i could finally go, i went, and it was the size of a baseball, and right after that came out, i was oozing, which i know is not a good sign, from working in a nursing home.......
Also because i have had an enormous appetite today, i cant seem to stop binging, i have had  an extreme amount of food today, and now i cant move, i feel as big as a house, my tummy really really hurts, im distended of course, and my back freakin hurts,
I guess what I am asking, is if there are any suggestions for me to make this swelling and pain go down, i know its my own stupid fault, i just cant seem to get enough of food today, and im sooo sooo thirsty, its really really frustrating, if its not one thing, its another for sure, I cant win for losing.....
thanks again
kelly

I would take a buttload of pepto bismal, I know it may not help much, but it will help some. If you're that unusually hungry, I would suggest seeing you doctor, and maybe talk about a dietary supplement. After you pooped your baseball, did you see any blood? Blood is what you're looking for. If there is blood, you probably just tore something from the size of that bowel movement. Try to relax, and eat meals that will fill you. Try not to binge, I know it's hard! Basically just try to stay calm, we're all thinking about you, and make a doctor's appointment to talk about what's going on in your body lately.

Take care!

That sometimes happens to me after a firm to firm-ish and large freight-train-moving BM.  I just figure it was 'left over' matter from the BM clearing out.  Sometimes my colon also creates mucous when it has been stretched because of waste or especially gas distension.  Also, your oozing (if it was uncontrolable at the rectum) could have been due to the recent large exit the BM made and it stretched everything.  I imagine it will all return to normal soon.

The food/eating issue will just have to require more will-power from you.  Try snacking on small amounts all day instead of only a few large meals?
I have the ability of single-minded determination and accurate project focu....Hey, look, a cat!

Crohn's and UC are pretty darn crappy, but if you can't laugh at yourself, you'll cry.
I'd much rather laugh.
2001 Dx'd with UC.  No remission.  5/2008 surgery, removal of 6" of left side colon.  Dx changed to Crohn's.  Remission for 8-9wks after surgery, symptoms returning after resuming 6MP.

Could it have likely been mucus? that wouldn't surprise me if it was...about the appetite thing, it's really hard on the digestive tract (especially one that is unhealthy) to overload it with food like that, try and fill up on liquids (preferably water or chamomile tea) when you feel like eating, balance it so that you get at least 3 SMALL meals in a day with 2 SMALL snacks and the rest of the time load up on liquids instead, and try and make sure you're eating healthy foods you can tolerate, avoid junk, processed foods/beverages, fast-foods, caffeine, and anything unhealthy.

Maybe even try digestive enzymes after meals to help break your food down for you so it's easier on your digestive system, natural digestive enzymes are pineapple, kiwi, mango, papaya, or you can get supplement forms of it if you cannot tolerate eating the above mentioned.

:)
My bum is broken....there's a big crack down the middle of it! LOL :)

Thank you for your responses, all is well this morning, however I was pretty uncomfortable last evening.
The binging, that i did, it does not happen on a regular basis, just once in a while, i generally just eat bits every now and then, as i get full from eating just a little bit....... However, yesterday, i just couldnt seem to get enough food and water, anyways, I will not do that again, and try to eat smaller more frequent meals from now on........
thanks again
