I have a client team meeting an hour from my house, complete w/ a drive with my supervisor.  Then Friday I have to drive 3 hours to a job interview, have an interview with FOUR lawyers, and then drive home.

And...my crohns has not been happy this week.  I think it is a combo of the bug I had last Friday and stress and just maybe the start of a regular old flare.  I'm trying to take extra good care of myself but sometimes that's just not enough.

When you guys send your well wished (even if just in your head) I swear I have better luck.  So!! Support away!!
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.

Broom - I agree that I am a worry wart but the last time I worried so much I had been feeling good and was worried about flaring that day, this week I have been feeling crappy (pun intended) all week to begin with... making me extra worried. But you are right, I am a worry wart.

I hope this interview goes well because besides my current job that may make me an offer at some point the others haven't worked out. I wasn't chosen for the clerkship but not too surprised since it is wicked competitive. I was just happy to be interviewed. The other law firm decided they just can't hire anybody this year, so at least in that instance it wasn't that "I" wasn't chosen, but it is still one less permanent job offer...

This one looks great but it would involve actually getting our house to sell and finding my husband a new job and moving. But he is cool with all that. Just not the best economy for it.

Hang in there! On mornings when I am walking my son to school with 3 other kiddos, a double stroller that takes 10 minutes to get through any door and about 3 other mothers with their kids and I of course from walking, drinking coffee and being the morning, have the urge to poop I take really deep breaths and think really relaxing thoughts.

Of course squeezing my butt and holding my stomach in helps too. And I do look around for places that if I really needed to I could stop to go to the bathroom. Like some strangers house. Hee hee.

Best of luck to you and I look forward to hearing of you graduating and finding an awesome job! It will come faster than you think!

Navy I was just trying to figure out what you took out and I got it after some thought... I guess there is no such thing as true anonymity. Safety first!
To everyone else! One day down! Woot woot! Was sick this morning but immodium did its job. I insisted on driving and told her that it would distract me from my stomach issues so she rode w/ me instead of vice versa. Meeting went well (thank goodness because the tiny toilet was about three feet from the table we were meeting at with a thin door). And, I had made a pee stop at a gas station that had FOUR elderly people in front of me that took about 15 minutes collectively to use the bathroom. Thank goodness that wasn't an emergency either. Must have been all you cheerleaders. I feel much more confident about tomorrow now and am looking forward to it.

Again, I can't begin to express how greatful I am for this site (even if it is because I'm a big chicken!)

Your support is amazing guys because Day 2 was a huge success. I took a xanax last night (.25), a half this morn, and a half right before I got to my interview. Even though it is a low dose I didn't want to take a whole one and drive. I had been told earlier this week that I would only be meeting w/ 1 attorney for a half hour because it was my first interview with the firm. They had thought it was my second interview when I had originally scheduled it. So I didn't eat all morning, but had a protein bar when I was about 2 hours away. I hadn't had a BM all day and think it was b/c of all the immodium and stuff I took to get through yesterday. Maybe the key is immodium the day before the big day lol. So I got to my interview and I ended up having FIVE interviews over 4 hours. I only took one pee break between interviews. I am so pleased with how it went but totally utterlly exhausted. I had to call my neighbor to go let my dog out b/c I had no idea I would be gone so long. Must to my surprise she brought the dog to her house and had tea and blt's for me when I got there. So nice. I'm still just trying to unwind. It is so hard after being "on" for so long. DEEEEEP BREATH.

And for those of you w/ TMJ: I noticed in the car I would clench my teeth. Whenever I caught myself doing that I forced myself to smile a big cheshire cat grin and it released my jaw and felt very relaxing.

So thanks for all the support! Now I am chilling on my couch!
