Need some advice please

I have been good for the last couple of months and my gi even mentioned the word remission and its pretty much gone crapty frm there,the few days i have had D and its just keeps getting worse,me and my Gi have and action plan for when i have bad days but this involves taking 20mg of pred and cipro for a week and see how things go im unsure if i shld try the pred or should i just have very gentle crohns food for a few days and see if that clears this up,the thing is i dont want to get sicker but i dontj want to tkae the pred gah and im starting my new job next week and i want to be well for that and not be on pred your oppinons wld greatly appraciated

If you are that concerned about starting the new job, and not taking pred, maybe it would be in your best interest to go on a liquid diet for a couple of days. Let the gut rest. Usually that helps quite a bit.
150mg Azathioprine, Lomotil, Iron, Nexium 2/day, Fentanyl patch, Oxycodone, Baclofin
Crohn's, Fibromyalgia, Several bulging discs, Bone spurs, Osteoarthritis, Osteopenia, Reflux, Stenosis, Strictures, Dengenerating facet joints

well me and mum decided that im defintly in a flare,sore joints,sore tummy,D and i also get pins and needles in my face :S so ive started my pred 20mg and me and mum are gonna haf to do battle at the doctors to get them to give me mre pred and cipro (the doctors who failed to dx my crohns)i hate going there last time when we told him the my ferritin level wass 5 he told us that we were wrong and mde it seem like we didnt knw wat we were tlking bout........i assume hes going to be like "prednisone ??you dont need prednisone you have a cold!!!"

Your definitely on the right track when you get a flare up with classic symptoms..finish the prednisone even if you feel like your over it, and the Cipro and either go on a liquid diet or soft bland for bowel rest. Bowel rest is the key!
crohn's for 22yrs, 5 bowel resections, reaction to remicade.
currently on daily antibiotics, pentasa and prednisone as needed.
