Been getting really sick with one thing and another. gone off food mega and very tired all the time. was careless with food in past few days I think and I may have gotten food poisoning. reheated pasta and tuna in microwave three days in row and never put it in the fridge either.
threw up in A&E and was given morphine, saw no consultants and the painkillersw played havoc on my sjogrens.
I am left with a very painful tender gut tract, stomach and intestines, so much so I have to hold my stomach when walking as it is far too painful, even coughing is painful.
Is this just a reaction to the wretching and the bug if it was a bug.
My stomach still feels very bloated.
Please reassure me that I have not cancer or anyting cos I find food now to eat horrendous.

I'm so sorry you are feeling so sick. If you are having that much pain and bloating, you need to have an xray and make sure there isn't a blockage or something going on. I'm not familiar with the healthcare system in Ireland so, did you go to the hospital to get the pain med?, If not it may be time to go now. I do hope you feel better soon, but I don't think you need to worry about cancer, usually cancer doesn't pop up so suddenly. It is more likely a blockage or just tenderness from the food poisioning.

Please go see a doctor soon.

No havent been around for a good long while. Well, I think it is food poisoning and having crohns is not helping it all.
I am sure a whack of the steroids until I see consultant for the scope will help but I was hoping not to have steroids before the scope cos it masks things.

Food poisoning will trigger Crohn's as well as being pretty horrible all by itself. You should try chicken broth and baby food vegetables for a while (avoid sugar in the food) until you start to feel a bit better.

Oh, baby food veggie and broth, sound great idea. I was hoping that this bout wont set off the crohns, I really, really, really have enough probs!
I will buy some of that tomorrow.
Great idea, actually great idea as food is SO difficult in recent months anyway.

Pain not improving and still feel bloated. Not eating much.
Can't.
I think it was food poisoning. I think it has triggered a crohns reaction.
Am too terrified of more surgery.
Taking steroids until I see the gastro on wed when I have the scope anyway.
I am so frightened.
I have far too much to deal with without this.
