Our children take their cues from us. Be very careful how you feel about
yourself . . . because it can really confuse your children. Make sure that you have dignity and respect for yourself, in spite of your disease. I know that can be really hard . . . but its really important. A sense of humor will work wonders too.
Our kids do see a lot . . . and the deal with some difficult situations . . . but it seems they become really special in the process. Even my grands are special because of or in spite of having helped me while I'm ill. They really "get it".
They learn how to make lemonade when they are dealt lemons. Not so bad . . . really.
If you continue to struggle with this process it would really be beneficial to get some professional help to work thru these difficult issues. Lord knows it can be overwhelming at times.
Glad you found us.
