History of Crohn's Disease

was just wondering if anyone knew the history of this disease, why its named crohn's disease, when was the first case, all that kind of stuff, i'm sure i could track down the info, but i figured maybe someone here would know or could point me to a link in that direction, just kinda curious, love to know everything about everything that affects me, and it makes good conversation with the fam and friends who always have endless questions.......thanks

29 years old, crohn's since december 07, fresh out of the hospital for 2 fistula/abscess surgeries, feeling much better, could it be remission???
currently taking:
asacol, prednisone, purinethol, vicodin, remicade
acidophilus/bifudus probiotic, organic whole food multi-vitamins
