Hi Guy's,

after my EXCELLENT day yesterday, I had a really bad one this afternnon. Pain was that bad I passed out. darn, that was scary. It has never happened to me before and I pray that it never happens to be again. Has that ever happened to anyone else here?

YES... during the first 2-3 years after I was dx'd, it happened at least 3 times that I remember, and it IS frightening.

I passed out from too much blood loss due to a acute spasmatic colitis attack in the ER, but not from to much pain. My husband is a paramedic and knew just what to do. Thank goodness. It is a scarry thing to lose ALL control and black out.

Naboo57,

that is a good thing that your husband is a paramedic, at least he knows how to treat you if anything goes wrong. like your blood loss.

That does seem to be the way it goes.... a couple of good days or weeks and BAM, back to square one.  And usually not even knowing what could have done it.

That is so true! You go along feeling so much better then it just hits you!

I have not passed out from the pain and hope I never do--that sounds VERY scary! I am so sorry you are going through this!

I hope you start feeling better soon and keep us posted!

Just wanted to tell ya that I'm with ya......I hate crohn's too! I have passed out many times throughout my life so I can relate to how scary it is but Dr's say my body doesn't like pain so it passes out instead of dealing with it. So I'm just pretty much a wimp =( I'm sorry you had to experience this and I hope you are doing better soon!

Hi Lil,

I know how that feels It is so freaking hard to even think of you passing out because of pain. But we are the proof that it happens.

Moroever, this past two days have felt really good pain ways. Very little pain at all. But I can bet it will hit with a passion again, it always does.
