I find reading all of your messages, and learned much. But not much on my problem. I am 48 woman with type 1 diabetic who was diagnosed with Crohn's in 2005. I also deal with chronic fatigue which I take B12 shoots monthly, I have eliminated many gas producing foods. My problems are, constipation that I work hard to keep it under control, chronic fatigue, the B12 stop working two weeks later joint pain in the hands, along with osteoarthritis in my ankle, left shoulder and both knees.  I work 36 hour a week.  I know stress is a problem with me, I have a supervisor who hates that my doctor who insist my hours is 34 - 36hr. I leave around 3pm while I am still able to focus. Since I don't look "sick" makes her more of a pain. By the way, my short term memory last about 5 minutes.  Will these issues get worst with age?

Hi There are some vitties and minerals that can effect memory loss. I take the B-12 soots once a month too and was really tired last week but perked up the last 3 days some. I got my shot today. Perhaps do some research on ti. Seems your boss gets mad and unfortunately people don't have X-ray eyes although I'am sure they wish they did. I don't envy you having problems like that with your boss.
I don't have too much constipation unless I'am blocked. Have you asked your Dr. if you are allowed a stool softener or have you tried one? lol gail

I was taking liquid multi vitamins and herbals, but something made my blood sugar crash for an entire week. It got to the point I was seeing the same EMTs, so I stop taking herbals vitamins.  However, I do eat a lot of fruits, certain veggies and some starch, except rice and corn. I take stool softener weekly. Sometimes I may forget, mainly because by time the work week is over, I am too tired to think about it. To help with my memory use my PDA with an alarm and I use sticky notes that I put in my bra. Don't laugh, every little bit helps. smhair

I don't think that multivitamins would cause sugar crashes, and you likely need the vitamins in them. You may want to ask about self-injecting the B12 so you can have more frequent doses and less fatigue. Here's an injection guide meant for parents, but useful for others as well: http://www.drneubrander.com/Files/READ%20ME,%20Injection%20Instructions%20for%20Methyl-B12%20Shots.pdf

Since you have eliminated gas forming foods, you may have eliminated a large part of your dietary fiber as well. You could try a non-fermentable fiber supplement like Prodiem, but you should make sure to drink lots of water if you use a fiber supplement. Clear it with your doctor first in case there is a possible problem. If fiber is out, you can still get some help for constipation from drinking more liquids.

Ultrafine I suffer with more C myself because I live on a low residue diet. I take my stool softners every night at bedtime, and that helps me to have at least one stool per day. If I don't take them I am usually in a world of hurt. I have never heard of stool softners being taken once a week.

Good luck!
