New medication mix

I normally get put on flagyl/cipro combo..When I went in yesterday, the dr ordered flagyl/avelox combo..Has anyone been ordered this lately?? How did it work for you instead of flagyl/cipro??

never heard of avelox. sorry!

Avelox is an antibiotic in the class of drugs called fluoroquinolones. Cipro, Levaquin, and Floxin are other examples of fluorquinolone antibiotics. So Avelox is very similar to Cipro.
