Where did the post about sex and Crohn's go? I can't find it, and wanted to check up on the poster, but I can't remember her online-tag right off the top of my head. It's a little strange that I've been on this site off and on for five + years and there are SO many new people from when I started...so it isn't personal, if you're reading this...it's just me being overwhelmed with names when I suck at them to begin with.

All that aside. If it got taken down/censored -- why? Be specific, I'd like to know, so that kind of thing can be avoided. Not getting huffy, mind you.

Okay. A little huffy. I don't think there was anything in that thread we haven't discussed before. And it bothers me that I can't find this thread. We *should* be able to discuss things like that. We have a chronic disease that affects every single aspect of our lives.

If it's a 'this is a family friendly site' kind of thing, here's a question. Is there any way that we could block minors from viewing threads that might discuss issues that aren't so family friendly?

JThursdays was the member name I think? It was their first post.  I checked and it has been deleted.
I am not sure why it was deleted, and so I asked the other mods, because I am curious as well.  The only thing I can think of is that it might have gotten bad overnight or that it was deleted by orginal poster.
As to the family friendly site issue, there is not a way to limit viewing. So we definately have to keep it PG-13 and clinical.
Which unless there was something nasty added after my last viewing of the thread it was still pretty clinical.
Like I said orgasms are a fundimental health issue in adult life and we do need to find a way to talk about them.
Possibly we might need to strongly encourage that it is an adult activity and topic.
Especially with how much this disease can affect our sexual well being.

Kids can find a lot worse than this on line. Heck, I sometimes google a subject and, to put it lightly, what I get is not what I expected,,,and they have pictures . I feel that we are being bombarded with it on TV too. I remember the post and I thought it was well within limits though.
If we would read the secret history of our enemies,we would find in each mans life sorrow and suffering enough to disarm all hostility.

LOL. The lady my mom used to work for had something called a "dynamic hip screw." She tried to look it up online and wound up with ****. The internet is a weird, wonderful place. Travellers beware! :)

I think I'll try to message JT -- thanks MMMNavy for catching that. I remember commenting that we had discussed similar things quite often on this board so that she wouldn't feel awkward bringing it up. I mean, geez, we discuss poop in graphic and minute detail -- what's a little sex thrown in?

***

Her profile says she was on yesterday, so I don't think she got scared off...if she deleted it herself, that's cool. That's her right. But I'm still curious....if she could pop back on here and shed some light on teh situation that would be awesome.
