Waaaa,,Whoooo me??? I'm still alive,, lets see,,,pulse,,, check, breathing,,,check ,,,sore a-- well, check. Thanks for thinking of me. Iv'e been spreading myself thin, burning the candle at both ends sorta. Helping a friend repair his flood damaged house so they can move back in. My old body is telling me my joints arn't worth a darn anymore too. We are about the same age so hes hurting too and this keeps me from overdoing. Its an interesting situation. BYOTP,,bring your own toilet paper. We hope to be on top of that situation by next weekend though. He is having the house raised 8 ft higher and this will mean lots more stair climbing if we are not done when it goes up so we drive at least 3 nails before taking a break now. I showed him how to cope the base board corners this weekend and he is getting to be a pro at it, so I told his wife she cant say he doesnt cope anymore. Proved he can cope. So other than being up to my whatsit in alligators I am just a little short of time for now but I still read so I want get too far behind. If you guys are suffering from laugh withdrawal. or ,,,withdrawl,,,if your from the south,,,I will try to get back to it soon...By the way,,,Thanks MMMNavy for the sex topic comment. Makes me sound like a dirty old man,,,oh,,,wait ,,hmmmmm,,,never mind.

Oh so glad your pounding in nails but missing the pounding of the vocals as laughter is good medicine. As long as we know your well let the roofing begin or at least end somewhere. Your right we are having withdrawal symnptoms from your little poems and all. Tell the wife to keep you in line so you come back cheerful and glad to be done.. lol gail

I see he knows why we miss him. Some of us are the only females I know of who laugh at our A------, and I don't mean our husbands. I came in on this dog and pony show about the time Sniper grabbed his woman and ran inland for the second time this year. I logged on every day to see if he decided to go back home. It was kinda a soap opera, like Dark Shadows meets Scobby Doo meets Hank Hill or something. It must have been a nightmare for them, but he left me in stitches. Thanks All, for the best laughs I've had all week.

Crohn's for life, symptoms included terrible joint and soft tissue pain, just met first cousin who suffers from Reactive Arthritis-explains sooo much. Great control on SCD (when I'm good) and I get by with a lotta help from my friends!

Gachrons,,,a steady hand , a strong stomach, and try not to fart. Good instructions for how to wipe. Actually I try to time passing gas with the air compressor kicking on ,or I go out to my truck for an unneeded tool. I could stink my friend out of the house but would not do such a thing with his wife present so I have to use all my wit,,,if she smells something,, I blame the cat..

Tex , be sure to check down wind when you do that. Gail I dont know about making a snowman, a snow woman maybe. Actually it has only snowed down here a few times and it does not stay long. I was over fourty when I made my first snow man. Sad right ? We get sleet more than snow. We have not had a real hard winter in a while though. I recall a year when the bay froze over waves and all. People dont know how to drive in snow or ice down here and they zip along at normal speeds until they go sliding off the roads. You take your life in your own hands if you drive then. Now that I am retired I dont care if it freezes because I dont have to go to work out in it. Just my luck, now we have global warming..

I went out today and bought a snowthrower. So if you were standing still I could easily turn you into a snowman, believe me I was covered in it and did look like a snow woman. It's a little electric one and a storm warning on the way.Hope the wind is down some so I can keep it from blowing all over me talk about a snow woman ,but the job is done till midnight. lol gail

You would have to talk to VietVet about that snow shoveling stuff. Hes an expert at snow removal. The man just loves to sling snow. No snow blower for him, he like the hand to shovel approach. Hes a twice a day man too. When hes not shoveling , hes dreaming about shoveling. I tell you there is ice water flowing through his veins. Yep, he knows all about snow. Hes a smart feller, and a fart smeller..

Cant have a home without one and thats this weekends project. Us crohnies know toilets. Don't you have something to shovel ???I dont mean cat poop either..Gail, old VV knows how to sling it so watch out, it may get deep...

Well it got deeper about 14 inches and I was a little worried about the dog poo but not to worry I ended having to get plowed it would have taken me a week to move that load. Best of luck with your toilet fixing and hope it works out for you. lol gail

oh! i thought you meant they were visiting your house and YOUR cat. kitties, wearin' bracelets and necklaces and such, flashing while driving, i was just getting a little worried about ya while mentally putting this thread with that other one you started.

gail, you gotta be in the great lakes area, like maybe new york or pennsylvania? thank the Lord we've only had flurries a few times so far. this is sure gonna make for a long winter for you guys, getting started with serious snow this early. and yes, i have a 30 year old snow blower. but, you can't be firing it up every time you get a one or two inch snow (as was the case last year, every other day). last year was about as depressing a winter as i can remember. started early and stayed late, with snow about every 2nd day, and very little sunshine. it's la nina's fault. i wish it would go back to el nino. we seem to have better winters during an el nino. hey, i think i just discovered a new one...........EL SNIPERO .............unpredictable, dry, and windy!

This is my first snow blower and with my hernia I coudn't move a foot of it so really a need necessary. 30cm last night and power out again but thank goodness not for 14 hours. Seems you guys in the States are getting more snow now. Tired to make a snowman out of Sniper but I guess it's not a happening thing. lol gail

when i was out in new jersey at ft dix after vietnam, everybody said, "oh, you really wanna go up to nova scotia while you're here on the east coast." well, i never made it up that far north, and it's stuck in my craw ever since. on our honeymoon, my wife and i intended to go up and spend the night at the GRAND HOTEL in mackinac and then head east through montreal (another place i've always wanted to go, along with quebec city), and on to halifax. well, it didn't happen that way. i had a cousin to visit in detroit, and that kind of changed the tenor of our trip. we came to the realization that nova scotia was just too far, and we would have to plan a separate trip specifically to the east coast for that. while in detroit, we we visited HITSVILLE USA - MOTOWN, and that was the catalyst for a detour to cleveland and the ROCK AND ROLL HALL OF FAME. so, nova scotia is still on our agenda, but next year we are heading west again to get remarried by ELVIS in vegas on our anniversary. hey, what can i say? it's a rock and roll life, especially with ibd!
