Okay. So I need to call a doctor but just not sure if it should be the GI or what. I have tenderness in my lower abdomen. Agony in my back and hips. When I urinate, it is sort of sore. And last night, during sex, it was sore there too. Its just not the usual pains. Thoughts on who I should call? I don't know my GI. I basically call the guy when I need a refill on the pentasa. Then there's the nice RN who helped me about three weeks ago.
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Dx'd: February 2007.
Pentasa (and much mental screaming)

Honestly, I would be calling both of them to see who could get you in FASTER. You're in pain, and you need to be seen. The symptoms you're describing could be any number of things from a simple bladder infection, to a kidney infection, to (as you seem to maybe think) some kind of fistula between them... Start making some calls and make someone get you in TODAY.

I hope you get some answers and feel better soon!

Good golly! DON'T SAY THE EVIL WORD OF ANSWERS....we're patients silly. We're not supposed to understand our illnesses! If we did...why, the medical profession would be beside itself! LOL. I'm going in to the RN on Friday.

I'm dealing. Honestly...I just kinda figure that I'm gonna hurt from now til I die in some form or other. It never really has gone away. So I'm trying to learn how to live with it and not go bonkers actually. It makes for more sleeping but meh...can live with it. Thanks though.
