Anyone know if it is dangerous to get your first dose of Remi if you have C Diff?  Or even just the spores?  I have been battling C Diff all year with several reoccurences (usually right after I stop the Venco).  My GI Doc says that it could have been fatal if I had gone through with my previous scheduled infusion.

My understanding is that you never get a Remicade treatment if you have an infection. With that said, I'm not sure if you can receive it if your c-diff is under control while on an antibiotic. When is your first scheduled dose? Follow your GI's advice...... Also, your GI can call A Remicade drug rep and they will pose these questions to a medical staff for Remicade.  They did that for me when I had Shingles. Blessings, Julie
