entocort did not work for me. but it's like kasper said, it's topical and i had scar tissue it couldn't penetrate. i found that prednisone, as evil as it is, did find me some with normal bowel movements. i have been on 6mp for over a year and looking to possibly upping my dose to 100mgs in the next few weeks (i only weigh just over 100 lbs.) the 6mp has helped me quite a bit. my pain is less frequent and not as acute. i am still having really bad 12+ bm days. lucky me, i am going for another scope on december 2nd and depending how my strictures and intestines look i may be talking to a surgeon.
my advice is give the 6mp some time. it was about 4-5 months before i started to notice i was improving. i was really frustrated in the beginning and thought the 6mp wasn't doing anything but then thought back to before i started taking it and said, yeah, it IS helping.
