They kept acting like i was faking. They took my pain meds and said they were sending me home. I cried all night in pain . The next morning i told dr i was not going home i couldn't get out of bed and was in horrible pain and needed pain med and he had better find outwhat was wrong .Last night which wasthe 24th they did catscan and found 3 abseces, so far they have drained 1625ml of infection, i had to be put on oxygen, my blood pressure is low, 3 bags of potassium, 1 bag of magnesium. My stomach is so swollen and i can hardly get up. They took 8 inches. I have not had a good experienne . Right now i have 2 jp ba gs that just keep filling. Will this pain ever end? Has anyone else had such a terrible experience?  jersey

hi jersey im sorry 2 hear bout ur pain. i only got dx wiv cd this feb, i was admited in march with a flare up but soon setled down.

june they found an abcess in my back passage which they did surgery and drained, july the surgeon found the abcess still there so did another operation but kept the drain in, oct when i went bak thinkin i was getin my drain out he told me the mri scan results shw the abcess stil there so 31st oct i had another operation 2 b drained again.

thats 3 exactly the same operations in 5 months. i had a check up wiv my surgeon yes2day(tuesday) and he could not give me a timescale of how long the drain will stay in and if he will need 2 operate again, its the same abcess it just keeps growing back.

im on azithroprine 4 my cd but keep bein put on difrent antiboitics,
i have just started takin a very strong painkiller n tht has basikly made me a new person, not only does it take the pain away so i can sit on my bum now but it has kept my bowel movements under control so much it does not irriate the area where the drain is, because its in such a difficult place everytime i go 2 the toilet it irritates the drain etc

i no ur down at the moment but ur not on ur own every1 has there own unique case some worse than others but justremember to keep finghtin cuz if u dont fight it ur body wont. :)

keep posting let us no how u getting on. xxx

Hi How are you today? I had a abcess about a year before my resection. I did get some infection after my resection and had that when they took my staples out. Did they do a CT scan before you had the surgery?

Sending good thoughts your way. lol gail
