Just wondering if anyone noticed that the drug caused your period to be unusually late? It's going on a week now that I have been waiting. Grrrrrrr. Not a nice thing to wait for lol, but definitely dont want to be pregnant on the drug. It is keeping me from taking the drug at the moment. I am too worried about what it could do to my baby if I WERE pregnant. I have a doc appointment next week and will talk to the doc but in the mean time would like know just for peace of mind. I also phoned the clinic and am hoping that my doc phones me back as well.

Crohns in general can mess with your period. MTX can too, but that is why you always use birth control with this med. I am suprised that you don't seem to be on any oral or injectable birth control. But then again that might not be allowed with warfarin and valtrex. But then again you did just have a baby within the last year and that will mess up your period as well.

well, the birth control would mess with my system and i have opted not to take any. I have taken 2 pregnancy tests so I am pretty sure that I am not pregnant. I just don't know how soon pregnancies show up on the tests. I have only been on this medicine for a month now so it would be possible that i got pregnant before I started it. MY menstrual cycle was the most regular it has been in years after I had my daughter until this period. What I have read so far concludes that methotrexate messes with womens cycles and that eases my mind just a little. I hope that is the case for me.

When I take my mtx the week before my cycle is supposed to start it always starts the next day. So if it was suppossed to start on the 18th but I take mtx on the 13th my period will start on the 14th-and then it lasts longer then it used to. Yuck.
