ive had crohns for about 10 year now and im not sure if its related or not. Have any males had this problem before? my urine analysis has come back clean, with no infection. However this is the 3rd time in 3 years that ive gotten epididymitis. This time it has lasted three weeks and im in severe pain, does anyone know of any really strong antibiotics or inflammatories that or built for the situation? i have been to the doctors as well, ER and a Urologist, two actually. And still expearimenting with antibiotics, its getting a bit old, and im about to go through with surgery if i cant find another form of remission, please. any advice will help. thank you

Curt - I am so sorry that you are dealing with this. I have an article addressing Crohn's affecting the male genitalia and organs. I am short of time but will get you the link tomorrow. You are not alone because others have come here with the same problem. See you tomorrow!

Curt,
I apologize for taking so long to get back to you. Things have a way of spiraling out of control around here when I least expect it.

I located the site where there is information about the various scrotal and penis problems associated with Crohn's. Has anyone ever done a biopsy? From the info posted that seems to be the key to get at the root of the problem.

There are two references on the site I am sending you two. The two are about half way down the page under a heading SKIN. The titles are: Genital-cutaneous and Granulomatous lymphangitis of the scrotum and penis

I hope that this helps. Perhaps you can print it out and take it to your next appointment. We had a fellow with a similar problem here a couple years ago. He printed out the info and the doctor was thrilled because it helped him provide the correct treatment for him.
