I am 10 weeks pregnant with baby #2 and although I stayed on my 6MP and Remicade with my daughter . . . who was born in perfect health . . . I am having the same rush of fears I had with her.  I would love to hear some success stories as a "pick-me-up."

Thanks!

I don't have any success stories, but there are plenty on the board who will respond soon. I just wanted to say congrats on baby #2.

Congratulations!!

I think there a few people currently pregnant on remicade and I think there's one on 6mp too. I just had a healthy baby girl, but went off 6mp ahead of time because my bloodwork was starting to come back all over the place. If it weren't for that, I would have been on for my preg.
Hoping to stay in remission after the birth of a healthy baby girl. On Pentasa during my pregnancy, went med-free 2 months to nurse (stupid), but back on Pentasa and still nursing.

Congrats on your pregnancy!!! I don't have any 6mp experience for you, but I do have 2 perfectly healthy remicade, asacol, nexium, prednisone babies AND I'm 36 weeks preggo with a remicade-then-humira,asacol, nexium, prednisone baby and so far all is WELL! And I had a previous GI who told me that the data shows that women on 6mp in pregnancy have NO GREATER INCIDENCE of birth defects/complications than women who DON'T take 6mp. You already have living proof of that, so try to relax and ENJOY this pregnancy! (I know it's easier said than done)

I started a thread on here a few weeks ago about this same topic and got a whole bunch of really great comments.  Just search a few weeks back for pregnancy and 6-mp...

I hope to get Pregnant in the next couple of months and I will be staying on Remicaid so I am very interested in hearing about how you are feeling.  I am a Pharma Rep and have done tons of research on the data that is available for Remicaid.  As far as I can tell the only risk is in the third trimester where weight gain might be a issue for a baby.  So if you can schedule your infussions prior and after your third trimester it might be ideal, depending on your risk situation.

CD since 1988,

Cocktail of medications ( Remicade included) and have explored many herbal remedies.

Currently experiencing another flair up after 4 years of remission.

Congratulations!  I'm 27 wks and on Remicade.  I get a little nervous also about the drugs, but everything is great so far.  It's good to hear all the success stories that people have!!  It gives you hope!

Good luck!
