okay so i've been wondering what the heck has been causing me pain on my right side near my rib cage and a pulsing pain straight through to my back...i've posted on here about gall stones, pancreatitis, kidney stones and all that good stuff..i got checked for all of those and nothing showed up! well i just had my first endoscopy the other day and they may have found what's been bugging me...i have gastrodueodonitis...(aka my dueodenum is swollen and inflamed) but my doc said it doesn't look like crohn's...he also found that the lining of my stomach is all red and swollen too..along with a minor highatal hernia...im probably spelling all this stuff wrong lol..any way they r checking my stomach lining for bacteria for the cause of the inflamation, but like i said he doesn't see any sign of crohn's there...my mom thinks it may be from the prednisone..it can really mess up ur tummy...any one else have problems like this?? i just think all this stuff is weird..it's just like one thing after another for me...

Hi Glad you went and had your test done to find the problem .Hopefully your Dr. can find out why your so red in there. So is he treating you now for it or waiting for the test results? Maybe it's H Plyori or something needs some antibotics to help clear up. Keep in touch and your right it seems sometimes there is a lot to deal with for us CDer's. Hope he gets you feeling better soon. lol gail

I think you will be feeling much better in a couple of days on the Aciphex. Not sure if you know this, but many Crohnies also suffer with Acid Reflux/Gerd too. I take Prilosec daily for it. Before that I was always sick to my stomach too, but the Prilosec worked great. If you aren't feeling better in a week you might want to let your doc know, and he can try you on another medication. Some medications work for some people and some don't. Good luck!
Been living with Crohn's Disease for 33 years.  Currently on Asacol, Prilosec, Estrace, Prinivil, Diltiazem, Percoset prn for pain, Zofran, Phenergan, Probiotics, and Calcium.  Resections in 2002 and 2005.  Also diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and Osteoarthritis. Currently my Crohns is in remission.
