I'm in this age range and my circle of friends corroborates the epidemic. Otherwise healthy friends from high school now have type I diabetes, fibro, lupus, MS and Crohn's. There are just too many of us.
Hoping to stay in remission after the birth of a healthy baby girl. On Pentasa during my pregnancy, went med-free 2 months to nurse (stupid), but back on Pentasa and still nursing.

i am glad you all enjoyed the article. i was on the search for it after i read the notes to the editor in the issue before thanking them for the article on auto- immune diseases. i was mad i missed that issues and didn't think it would have been posted online. i was pleasantly surprised that it was and i could share it with you all. it really does appear there is a rise in auto-immune diseases, and i am glad there are people researching WHY this is happening.
