I'm on Entocort right now, but thought I could use a short round of pred to calm things down and get me a nice and peaceful holiday  until I see my GI in January.  Has any of you been on a short round of pred? and if so, how did you taper?

Also you think there is a problem to switch from Entocort to pred?

How many mgs. of Entocort are you on? If less the 9 mg, I would just increase the Entocort up to 9 mg. Otherwise, I think you really need to contact your doctor about switching to Pred. Good luck!

I started on 10 mg about a week ago and will continue until I see my GI in January or sooner god willing. I'm tapering by 5 mg every week so...we'll see how it goes. It doesn't actually seem to be doing as much as I would like but then it hasn't since the first time I started taking it.
