I'm in DC and my GI is Dr. Allen Ginsberg at George Washington University Hospital (Medical Faculty Associates) in Georgetown. www.gwdocs.com Dr. Ginsberg and Dr. Orkin (my colorectal surgeon -- also at GW) both saved my life. Dr. Ginsberg and Dr. Orkin specialize in IBD and both are very busy. I think Dr. Ginsberg is a conservative Doc who takes CD symptoms seriously and I think he has seen it all. If you can't get in with Dr. Ginsberg, the other GI Docs are also good. I like University/Teaching Hospital Docs because they are paid a salary rather than by the procedure (i.e., they don't need to operate in order to get paid) and they tend to collaborate more with their peers (being teachers, they share knowledge). There is a Metro stop a block away from the Medical Faculty Associates building and a parking garage below the building.
Hope you find someone!
