ok here goes, i got me a new thing going on that is gonna drive me nuts till i find out what the heck it is..  i got me an alien!   going to the bathroom produces a soft protrusion in the abdomen just below the sternum.. when pushed on at this time it goes down and i can feel the fluid going "somehwere" then when i let off the finger it fill up again... i can do this repeatedly untill im done. my thoughts so far are fistula, abcess, hernia, etc.. what do ya'll think?  maybe i should start a pool so when i get to the dr next week we can give out some sort of guess the anomoly prize!  i must admit it is kinda fun to play with and has so far not been a bit painfull or bothersome... i have had fistulas, of course, and abcess'es and hernias. this is unlike any i have had of the above.. just freaky... idea shocked smhair

Hi Randy my first thought was perhaps you were growing a new rectum but it seems it's higher up and you are a interesting man to say the least. Stop playing around and maybe go to a Dr. now.Hope others here have a better understanding of what is going on.If it is a hernia you need to get it checked, same for abcess or fis. What are you doing today? Almost wishing I was your Dr. so I could study your interesting new find. lol gail

Its alive !!!!Wow Rando, never a dull moment in your life. Sounds like some sort of hernia to me. For sure something that should stay on the inside is wanting to see the light of day. Does it growl or snap at you ? Best see the doctor and on your way stop by the pet store and buy a new collar and leash..Have you named it yet???

Yeah I agree sounds like a hernia. I think we should have a name contest..................I'll start, Harry the Hernia.

yeah well im still waiting for the dr to call.probably wont be able to see him till monday.. anyhoo, no name till i find out what it is. got to match the name to the situation. i know that whats left of the guts is stuck to the front of the abdomen. i looked at my CT pics again last night .. but like i said ive had the hernisas before and this just dont feel the same.. before they were firmer bumps and this is almost like a "bubble" that fills with air or liquid and can be expelled. and its so far north, that im wondering if its above the diaphram it may be some type of tear in that. oh well we shalll see... so santa wont you bring me a diagnosis!

Sounds a lot like a fluid filled cyst. Or hernia. Or you are the new repository for the National Helium Reserve. Bet the med students crowd around every time you come in . . .

Mmmmm you say the fluid or the air goes somewhere, just wondering where that would be!! I don't think it's a hernia, if it's pushing
out that far, I think you would be getting more pain. No, I'm pretty sure Sigourney Weaver might be able to help you out though!!

Let us know when you do, it's so mystifying!!!

My vote is for a fistula. I could push mine around like that until they opened it up and put a seton in.

and the winner is!....... GI dr says most likely a hernia. but unlike my previous one, due to all my intestine being adhered to the front of my abdomen.. i am to watch it over the weekend with a follow up visit monday. if its not bothering me , let it go if it starts to hurt or get red, fix it...

IVY, im pretty sure its not a fistula , at least not a normal one.. .

the best way to describe it is if you have a lawn mower with a priming bulb for the gas, thats it exactly.. push and it collapses and the rebounds with a "splugey" sound.

My son once had air bubbles form around his collar bone that fit your description. Unfortunately it was due to a tear in his lung tissue due to a over zealous coach (or so he deemed himself such). Anyhow, whatever it turns out to be Randy, I'll share my monkey treats with it!

You know we worry, you big galute, or is that gullet. Well anyway VV will come by and tell me what a crappy speller I am.

Well OK, but hope it doesn't start hitting you with a sock. Old Homie almost got someone in trouble when I was still working. Boss left a note on the door that said , come in at 7 , 2 hours forced overtime, to which someone wrote, Homie dont play that. Boss went ballistic, wanted a sample of everyones hand writing. What a dink,,,like I could not change my hand writing...

I like Homie myself, but do agree hoping he doesn't start hitting you with his sock. By the way, I loved that show. Remember Wanda (played by Jamie Foxx). That character use to make me laugh so hard. How about Firefighter Bill, loved him too.
