I was diagnosed with osteopenia and my GI prescribed me Calcitriol (a form of vitamin D) (2, 5mg pills a day) and 1500 mg of Calcium. Has anyone else taken Calictriol? I am nervous about the impact that all of these vitamins are going to have on my stomach, but I hope it either gets used to it or tolerates it just fine.

I am very sensitive to supplements, but Calcium with D agrees with me. I don't have any side effects at all from the Calium/Vit D. Some folks might get a little more constipated with the Calcium, but I don't have any problems with it. Hope that helps.
