Just wondering. I recently had a colonoscopy done in october and the doctor told me that he removed some polyps. Are polyps all bad or are they just kind of like skin tags? I heard that polyps can turn into cancer! confused kind of worried.

As long as you had them removed you are fine. Not all polyps turn into cancer, but most colon cancers stem from polyps, though the transition time is very long -- 5-10 years by most estimates. You will need to have a scope to check for new polyps every few years for the rest of your life.

Man that bites the big one. I knew i was going to have to get them done regularly. This last colonoscopy was a disaster. i had to go back after a half hour of being released. I ended up having a perferation in the bowel from the air pressure. Got infected and stuff. Had a fever on and off for 2 days. Mmmmm morphine lol. kept me feeling sain. havent had that much pain in a very long time.
