Sorry to be here so infrequently. This week is getting nightmarishly busy, and I've also had to keep the phone free because I've been waiting on a few important calls, and both combined mean no pacting!

Things I have to do:
* basics - make bed (almost done), do dishes (done), tidying, 15 minutes gardening (only if the sun becomes less intense)
* shine kitchen and bedroom "sinks" (done)
* exercise (done) and stretch
* shower and wash hair
* afternoon tea with friend
* either go to or put in an apology for carols (will probably apologise. I want to go, but it will mean a late and sleepless deprived night, and I'm still battling to get the fibro under control)
* keep working on gifts - getting stressed now, as they need to be done by Thursday and I have no fallback gifts prepared!
* write a few more cards - yes, I KNOW I'm behind... :-(

Try to:
* spend at least 5-10 minutes fixing the back porch, which is dusty and covered with leaves after last week's storm
* pick some flowers
* anything else from the wish list.

Have a good day, everyone.

There aren't any replies yet..this is no good. I guess I'll give it a whirl:

-take out recycling
-groceries
-get through Christmas dinner with fiance's family...
-finish the now half-mountain of laundry which accumulated over the two months I was too sick to clean!
-shower

And if I have the time:
-sort through old papers and bills
-tune my guitars. They love getting themselves out of tune just in time for me to play

Ivy..you think you're behind on cards. I've only sent out ONE! I might not send out anymore though..

LOL, LMills. Can you say you got snowed in and couldn't send them, or something? Or send New Years cards instead? Anyway, I wouldn't worry too much. I think everyone has a year, sooner or later, when they get caught out by Christmas.

Anyway, it's coming up to 5pm and I've done most of the "have to"s and none of the "try to"s.

I'm on the home stretch with decoration #2. Am aiming to get three finished by Christmas, four if I'm lucky. Stress stress stress - am kicking myself for not just buying a present for these people, even if the handmade gifts are nicer... :-P

Oh, and I'm skipping carols in favour of sleep :-).

How was the dinner, LMills?

ps. Do try not to exhaust yourself with the laundry. Washing is *hard* work. You might find it's easier to do one or two loads a day than to wear yourself out doing them all at once.

Too late...and my stomach is definitely scolding me for it. I'll ask someone else to finish the rest or just at least lift the basket.
It wouldn't be so bad if the dryer would dry the clothes the first time!!!!

And good for you for sleeping!! I think we do things feel obligated to do but really shouldn't...

And I had to add to the list:
-pick up meds from the pharmacy

Yay! Decoration #2 is finished, and proudly sitting in its presentation box. Now to eat (shock, horror), do the evening chores and maybe start on #3. And sleep.

Sorry you're suffering after doing all that laundry. On the plus side, you can feel virtuous for having done it...

Ow. Must go and rest - fibro is getting worse after all that standing up with the glue gun.

Catch you tomorrow, and good luck getting to the pharmacy. Is it snowing where you are, LMills?

ps. You're right about the obligations. It's hard to tell who puts more pressure on us: us or other people, isn't it?

Yes, yes, I know! I need to eat and sleep; you're right; I'm going... :-)
