Could anyone tell me why my lower abdomen swells occasionally for no apparent reason. No pain, just looks like I'm 6 months pregnant. Next day back to flat abdomen. It usually occurs in the early evening. I eat just about the same things everyday at the same time. This week it has happened twice which is unusual. Should I be worried? I was diagnosed with mild crohn's disease two years ago. The only medication I take is 1200mg twice a day. Thanks for any advice that you can give me.

There might be some sort of blockage. I was dealing with a partial one for a few weeks this past Fall, and my stomach would look like I was getting pregnant after I ate as well. There wasn't too much trouble passing anything(every now and again..) and it just went away after I ate softer things and consumed more liquid. It comes and goes for me..
