Hello.   In the past few days I have noticed that my crohns is getting worse.   I have the ugre to go frequently, but when I go it feels like something is blocking me from going  blush .  At the phincter muscle. I have to really push to get the stuff out. It also is opening up my fissure confused Unfortunately not much comes out so I end up having to go back to the bathroom again and again. Pretty raw. Sorry TMI.

I have had this happen before but it has cleared up. Just would like to know if anyone else has felt this before?

Usually that's a sign of rectal inflammation (proctitis) if that's what it is then you'll need rectal meds to clear it up, it won't likely go away on it's own and will likely get worse the longer you go without rectal meds, you guys should have your docs check and see if you've got proctitis. Or it could be from IBS, IBS causes the same type of sensation.

A sigmoidoscopy would be sufficient enough.

Hey Chronically-

Nothing medical or otherwise is really a wrong thing to say here. Its what we're here for. Just avoid the cursing. :-P
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Crohns Dx'd: February 2008.
Pentasa (and much mental screaming)

Trying to hang in there until January so I'll have some insurance and can visit a rheumy, neuro, GI, primary, pain control, and possibly a shrink so I could stop crying and living in my own lil pity party. :-P

I'd get that way when I was constipated...kept having to go to the bathroom without much coming out at any one time. I'd always have to down some milk of magnesia or take a stool softener to resolve it. My doctor says I have severe peri-rectal disease though, and another doctor once said he doesn't even know how I can poop at all. I've been good since adding magnesium and changing my diet though. I just have very thin flat poop.
How's that for smilewinkgrin TMI?

EDIT: I recently ordered some Vitamin E suppositories to see if they will help. However, I fear my narrow spots may be scar tissue rather than inflammation.

Imuran stopped 9/8/08 (possible Pancreatitis)
Paxil 40mg daily (for Panic disorder)
Xanax .5mg as needed (for anxiety attacks)

Thanks you guys.  It's doing a little bit better. I just took my shot of methotrexate.  I was just on pills and weren't effective.  I have previously had one shot in the hospital and it worked immediately. So I can feel the difference just in the past day. :)
