Sniper,
   It is not legal to practice medicine or psychiatry in the US without a license. Pack up the lemonade stand and take Lucy home! You can do better! turn

But Lucy was dead on most of the time. I dont think I need a license for quackery. By the way, great way to slip the new thread in on the unsuspecting. I do think post like this help though. Sometimes it feels better to talk about something other than how much it hurts.

I dont intend to hang my shingle out just now. Heck, have not gotten my own head shrunk enough yet. But, I would be much cheeper to talk to for a hour. I do speak fluent motorcycle, carpentry, hunting, fishing, and a few other subjects. No good at talking snow so you never have to worry about a snow job and I quit smoking so I wont be blowing smoke either. I'm pretty good at taking lifes lemons and making lemonade too. In fact , were I not, I would have been soured to death by now. As for going faster than my guardian angel can fly, I left the dude in the dust long ago, I think he gave up because I have not heard a bell telling me ,Clarence got his wings. Just a little Ja ,Ja, Jimmy Stewart flash back there. Forgive me, I drank a cup of coffee and I think I'm riding a caffeine high right now....

Well Sniper,
  Now I see why we it was your thread I crashed first thing when I joined the forum. We speak many of the same languages. 10 years in the automotive biz, 2 years in the tool biz (they needed an automotive tool specialist) and then 12 years in a pawn shop. I am fluent in all the above, including the snow job part, and I could blow smoke just as well for the 8 years I did not smoke, after I gave up smoking Marlboros, and prior to picking up cigars (maybe it was the crohn's smoldering inside). Now I have added supplement and bum speak and can wake myself even when I use silent bum speak. Smells speak volumes when you have crohn's, don't they? My Medical speak may have been my first, I feel like I was raised in a hospital, and was never the patient until the birth of my first child. Until 10 years ago, I too thought that I had outran my angels, only to find out they acquired much back up, and fly so far in advance of me in order to keep up and keep me safe, that I never see or hear them any longer, but trust me they are there, or I would have joined them long ago. They did slow down enough once to let me know I am stuck here for a long time, so I better be good to my body and make life as sweet as possible with a not so gentle reminder that it was all up to me. Oh, yes then there is the one I married, who could never keep up with me, but is an expert at slowing me down just enough to keep me on this plane of existence. He's never moved real fast (strong silent type), but has a gift for knowing what I am going to do next, well before I know and is pig headed enough to stop a freight train.

   As for the shingle you were thinking of hanging, many of my family members are/were in need, and many Pros offered to do the job for free. I think our whole family would make a case study that would get anybody published, and my personal belief is that there is a connection between Crohns, grain consumption and Schizophrenia. They tell me I am mentaly healthy, but if you decide to go legit, I can hook you up with enough of my family to make you famous before you can finish school!

Ive never been told I am mentaly healthy. Never cared for Marboros,,, Camel filters. I still miss them and a good cup of Jo. Oddly I did not smoke in Nam .Stopped there and started when I got back. I found out they could smell you 200 yards away . Bad for your health . I found out I could smell those Chinese smokes 300 yards away. That was bad for their health. I never worked in a pawn shop. Lucky for me because I would have more junk than I do now. Trouble with crohns is you have a lot of time to ,,sit and think.. Also sit and stink . So I use the bathroom as a study. If I am interested in how any thing works are is done,,the book is in the john. I also have a wife that has saved me from myself. I'm my own worse enemy. The shape I am in now has probably got a lot to do with years of pushing the envelope. She can tell what I am planing by the look in my eyes and becomes the voice of reason.
Camjames, if my GI transit time got any faster I would fly around like I was jet propelled. I stay away from it most of the time but ,,,,every now and then,,,a man gota do what a man gota do,,,even if a man gata poo...

VV's been very quiet.  A lot of snow??? Or playing with your Dollies???  I really miss having some Floridians to taunt and be taunted by. And yes, I have a lot of "junk", and some grown children who think video games are a constitutional right. The only claim I made was that the pros think I'm mentally healthy, My family still thinks I'm quite Nuts, and I wouldn't want to be counted among the "normal"-EVER. Where are all our women friends, I would love to hear their ideas about all this legal talk.

I'm afraid VV is suffering from a bad case of TMS. (Too Much Slush) in laymen terms. The brain says ride your scooter but the eyes see too much danger and also too much bike cleaning to do afterward. Yes , hes in a rut . The only cure is good weather , wind in his face and nothing on the ground to make that rut. Complicating this condition are the waves of almost good weather that seem to dangle the carrot of clean roads before his weary eyes. I'm afraid there is but one cure and that is summer. Unfortunately summer is a few moths away and does not last forever so he will relapse into what Snowhare would call, a snow shoveling blitherer...

Hi VV don't let them snowball you around .Bet Sniper is just jealous he didn't get to see the new bikes show in Toronto.Haven't a clue what Randy is up to either not like him to be too quite .Margie got the phone working again so I don't have to spend another week trying to call myself up ,and crawling around the floor. What a pleasure it might be not getting the phone man on the horn all the time although I must say he is cute and quite pleasant Hmmm I might start missing him after all. What would be the purpose of missing a cute man though when you know what's really in my mind mostly Bm's and other singnifciant body do do's. Randy does state that a person can still dream though.Hmmm well that's my imput on the brains for now I'am sure there might be updates later. lol gail

No use crawling around on the floor. No chance of finding those missing marbles,,,I have looked for mine to no avail. I do envy VV a little because my weed patch of a yard thinks its spring and I have had to mow it . But really I'll take that over slush. Would have liked to see the bike show too. Now about that cute phone man...How about a retired one ,,,wicked grin....

nono  ...all this from the guy who told us his wife didn't know to use the computer!
Gail,
   Don't guys just go crazy at the thought of females crawling on the floor? I can just see the secret meeting now. You must be _____, Yes I am but, excuse me I must go___.No, I must go ___ first. Sorry, you can go ___ first. Oh, I lied, I must go now. Everyone in the hotel lobby would follow you, thinking they must go too, after all, you must be clammering about someplace wonderful. OK sorry, I just can't come up with a good ending for this one, don't think there is one. Better pass Gail, and keep dreaming about the cute and much younger non-retired phone man. After all he will always be a great as he is today, no reality to mess things up. At least you can pretend he is single. wink

Hmm Sniper so you had marbles at one time that is surprising to say the least because if I said more it could go deep. Mowing grass are you now, that don't make me the least bit jealous,I suppose you got about 10 feet of yard to mow and still get tired or is it retired.

Margie your imagination is better then mine and I suppose because he's a telephone man you think he's got a ring,and where's that crohnie hotel you been hiding? Reality ..I wander what's Sniper's idea of reality is ,hmm a man without his marbles sounds like it's pretty deep down there, the grass must be higher then I thought.lol gail

I dont mind mowing the grass east to west or to the north but when I mow south I must be careful not to fall off the edge of the earth...Did I say marbles ???Plural??? I never said my wife dosent know how to use the computer,,its me that doesn't know how to use the computer. Plus you dont get a ring from the telephone man. Dont you remember the song?,,,its a ding-a-ling...What we need at a crohnie motel,,, a single room with a double bath. As for as a female crawling on the floor, I recall a certain person who said he has his wife down on the floor all the time . He says she is down there screaming,,, ...Something like,,," come out from under that bed you @#%&.. "Hmmmm,,,romance,,,no wonder those paper backs sell...

Good morning I been having breakfast with you all for some time now and beleave me somehow still seem able to digest it all even my brain seems to be working at times. I figure Margie's at the crohnie hotel and too busy to check in yesterday.I guees it must be Tarzan or is it crozan that lives in a tree that the woman kept looking for. As far as a crohnie hotel goes you know all it would need is computers and a batroom I mean bathroom. Seems you couldn't get your marbles on the chat last night eh.Have you been on the chat before? lol gail

We use to chat all the time, a long time ago but somehow it just stopped. I was never too good at it because when there are lots of folks on my eyes cant keep up and start to roll around like the slot machine symbols. My two finger typing is not that fast either and then there is VV , the spell checker...But,,,I will try again question ,,,Is it the crohns chat,, .there were people on but not on the crohns chat ...

Well I would say I have had crohns sense I was about 15 or 16 but due to poor diagnoses and even poorer tests I was never dx. They told me I had a nervous stomach. What ever that means. So I just went through life the best I could. Never could figure out why a nervous stomach made such a pain in my guts or the blood,, but,,I'm not a doctor. Old Uncle Sam did not care either so I got some vacation time over seas . about 5 years ago along with the crohns symptoms I began to have weak spells and tunnel vision. Mostly while I was climbing telephone poles and such. I was having lots of bleeding at the time too so I ended up being shipped from one doc to another until I got the crohns dx, but the weak spells got worse and the GI could not find out why. The reason he could not find out why is because it was atypical heart symptoms. I had 100% blockage in the left main coronary artery. I had this long enough that the heart was trying to reroute the blood flow around the blockage by making a new artery. I had joined this site before that was found though and got to scare some nice folks here when I had emergency bypass . So guess I have had crohns a long long time but a dx only 5 or so years. This may be why I just go about life in the way I do. I never knew what was wrong and had to deal with it so now the only dif. is I know what it is..

  I remember mild symptoms from the age of five. Never any arthritis symptoms until 1990, when I was DG with Unspecified autoimmune disease. I was told then they could find no cause for the sacrum and leg pain that was horrible after a 9 day run of 19 different IV antibiotics for Hydronephrosis (Kidney swollen closed). Then various autoimmune symptoms until my big crash in 2000. After that all the symptoms converged with terrible fatigue, arthritis, soft tissue pain, oh, and chronic loss of memory and cognitive ability. Very shocking to comprehend so little, after understanding everything around me and teaching myself to read at a very young age. This drove me crazy, and I suffered depression, and prayed to die for two years prior to being DAG in 2002. Thank God for Sharon Osborne (for raising awareness), and the OB/Gun who sent me for a scope. Within 6mos. of Sharon receiving chemo on the Osborn's Reality Show and after roughly 15,000 women between 35 and 50 years old paid for scopes from their own pockets at the local Med school campus, about a third were DG'd with Crohn's , UC, or celiac disease including myself. To quote the Beatles, "strange day's indeed!". God uses people in mysterious ways indeed. Pat Boone must have said some powerful prayers over that LA fence for Sharon and Ozzy, and I am grateful, as are many others.

Dang, this was supposed to be a fun forget all that stuff kinda thread, and look at me rage on.

Yes VV we have some awesome Sooner kids, many we borrow from Texas (some from Florida, and coaches too)!

Sorry Sniper,
   Bad memory on my part, I thought I remembered you braging about your wife not knowing how to turn on the computer after someone told you to stop flirting before your wife caught you. It must have been VV or Randy if you never said that. D--- Crohn's memory!

Hi I can remember as a kid getting cramp and then in my twenty's getting D and pain IBS was the verdict and I can remember a Dr. giving me a book to read but couldn't see a thing as I was not able to see the words but I am thinking it was crohn's I was supposed to be reading. Long time ago .So I managed threw life and about 3 years ago I just got worse and ended up with a baby abcess not sure of the pounds but a whopper none the less. Off to my blockage after thet and DX with crohn's .More blockages and resection now things aren't too bad .

VV it's your turn now how many years have you been crohned? Gee I think it would have been nicer being crowned but not all of us get to be Queens and Kings..lol gail

margie, i am a cyclone, however, i'll root for the sooners when they are the big xii's rep in a bowl game. this one is that much bigger.

seems to me that your memory is razor sharp on most things.

and i really had to bite my tongue to keep from jumping in to this mess at 'cute phone man'. phone man certainly used to apply. i can't see how cute EVER did. and Camelia is the computer guru of the family. as far as the ol phone man is concerned Memory is something you lose with age;
An application is for employment;
A program is a TV show;
A cursor uses profanity.
A keyboard is a piano
A web is a spider's home
A virus is the flu
A CD is a bank account

A hard drive is a long trip on the road
A mouse pad is where a mouse lives.

gail, i'm a bit of an interloper here. i post here and on the UC forum, as do a few others. i actually have UC and have been dx'd since about 20 years ago. my personal belief is that it is the result of agent orange. i was in IIIcorps which was the most heavily sprayed section of vietnam. it is well known that exposure to dioxin messes with your autoimmune system. UC is an autoimmune disorder. my oldest daughter was born with scoliosis, which is a lesser form of spina bifida. the VA recognizes spina bifida and a few other illnesses, but to quote an old midas commercial about their competition, "we don't have one fer yer car!" the stuff stays in the dirt forever and travels around as dust (remember we're talking freshly sprayed stuff within a year or two, plus they sprayed insecticides on us every two weeks.). we ate it, drank it, breathed it, and absorbed it through our skin............

i guess i've violated sniper's levity rule also............

oh, and margie, you guys are back on our schedule for the next two years. with our coaching situation, i don't think you have much to worry about from us for a while. but history and the law of averages dictates that ISU will again, someday, wreck that wagon.

VV quite impressed with your knowledge of computers and sorry they treated you all like bugs but for what it's worth I'am sending out a hug..

You mean to tell me Sniper wasn't cute at one time, my gosh, he seems to be having visions down there of climbing telephone poles and I cain't even imagine what that would be like with his draws full of it. He"ll probably say it was hard times no doubt...lol gail

And a floppy is a reference to a part of VV ananatomy. Glad you came back and explained that Boomer thing. I thought that was the call of the abominable snow shovel man or maybe it was from biting your tongue. Hey I was cute once,,,I think I was three, but I was cute.
