My doctor told me on Nov. 25th, that I could stop taking Pentasa (4 X 500 mg per day).  After a few weeks, I realized that I have not had any joint pain.  I hurt everywhere it seemed, elbows, knees, hips, lower back, neck, etc.  It's not there anymore!  Anyone else have this happen?

I never had any joint probs on Pentasa, but did notice when I stopped it my stools firmed up. Glad you are feeling better and hope it continues. Are you on any other maintainence med?

Thanks for the replies. Yes, I also take azathioprine (100 mg day) & Humira (biweekly). I did see in the patient info that Pentasa can cause joint pain, though that is considered somewhat rare.
