Hey PB4, hope all is well with you.  I have a REALLY bad sinus infection going on right now and went to the doc today and she put me on a really strong antibiotic.  My question to you is, I know to take my probiotics 2 hours after my anti-b's, but was wondering if I should increase the amount I am taking while on this strong anti-b?  Do you think it would hurt or affect the anti-biotic if I took maybe double my usual dose for a bit?  Thanks for your help on this.  I just don't want to get a yeast infection or c-diff.

Hi Nanners,

You can certainly increas the amount of your pros, it will not have any affect on the antis at all and it should certainly aid with keeping any yeast or C-diff at bay being on such strong antis...you can double up for the whole time your taking the antis and even for a few days after since there can be a lasting affect with some antis after you've finished taking them.

Good luck and feel better soon, a sinus infection does not sound fun at all.

:)

Thanks PB4, thats what I figured. I will double them while I am on the anti-b's. So worried about stirring stuff up with these anti-b's and the Pred had my immune system so weak that I got this dumb infection. Thanks for your help!!
