Hi everyone,
I first want to thank all of you for your support when I first joined the site while my doctors were trying to find a diagnosis. And now I am calling upon you all for a little ray of hope. My doctor called me this morning, she had consulted with one of the colleague about my case. Seeing as I have had constant upper right abdominal pain, bloody bowels, cramps, distension and fullness even on all my meds. My last appointment she noticed that a small little lump had gotten much larger. It was 1 cm now its 10cm. She sent me for a CAT and it shows excessive lymph nodes more on the right where the lump is than the left and they may be surrounding a mass. During her consult she now feels that I don't have Crohn's and that I have non-hodgkins lymphoma. My neutrophil levels are very high, and inflammation enzymes are super high, on top of low kidney function. Thursday I have a biopsy but I'm TERRIFIED!!!
Does anyone here with Crohn's have a lump on their neck or similar situation? Thank you for any responses in advance!!! Best Wishes, Bri

broach, I am sorry about the news you have received. I certainly understand why you are frightened and confused. A small percentage of non-Hodgkins lymphomas generate in the intestinal tract. We have one member that does have Crohn's and then developed NHL, I believe in his terminal ileum. After surgery to remove the mass, he under went treatments and the last I read is doing well.

The symptoms of NHL effecting the intestinal tract can be very similar to Crohn's disease. While the news you received is not something anyone wants to hear, it sounds like the doctor has done a great job of getting to the problem early on. Please let us know how the biopsy goes. We will all be thinking of you.
