I have had really bad pains in my right hip for about 4 days now, i didn't do any exercise or anything different. Does anyone else have this or does anyone know what can cause this?

I had a similar pain last week. Not in the hip, but just above the right hip. Search back a few posts, I got some information on it being related to the terminal ileum (which is where my stricture is).
Hoping to stay in remission after the birth of a healthy baby girl. On Pentasa during my pregnancy, went med-free 2 months to nurse (stupid), but back on Pentasa and still nursing.

I developed severe hip pain in the midst of a CD flare one time. In fact the hip pain was so bad I needed a walker to get around. At that point my GI suspected that I had Spondyloarthropathy [SpA] associated with the CD. That is when it was decided I needed Remicade even though my Crohn's was considered "mild." My SpA, now diagnosed as Ankylosing Spondylitis, is in fact more problematic than my CD. Remicade put my guts in remission but the joints continue to flare periodically.

I get right hip pain every time I have a flare. It's one of the ways I know that I need to start taking steroids. After taking predisone for about a month and getting my flare uncontrol it goes away.

This is interesting that you mentioned an association with the terminal ileium. I woke up with a severe R hip joint pain this AM and it has been with me all day. I currently have a TI flare but they tell me it is not severe although the report read moderate thickening at the TI. The pain is surely severe enough. I do not have a stricture.

I almost always get bad hip pain when I have weaned off of Pred. Didn't get it this time, just a sinus infection from Hades.

I get hip pains, too... won't leave me alone a lot of times...
I think I am being picked on by life, sometimes. But's that okay. Life and I are good buddies... I know life doesn't mean no harm. It just is the way it is. I can accept that.

LOL...oh my the hip pain. Got it.
27/f/CD. 4 CD related surgeries: 2 resections, 2 JP drains, 3 NG tubes, many absesses (including the one my most recent surgery scraped off my ovary) and fistulas.
Currently trying to figure out hip and knee joint pain.
Have lost in these surgeries: appendix, 8 in. intestine, R fallopian tube, gallbladder, 10 in. intestine
Crohns Dx'd: February 2008.
Pentasa (and much mental screaming)

Trying to hang in there until January so I'll have some insurance and can visit a rheumy, neuro, GI, primary, pain control, and possibly a shrink so I could stop crying and living in my own lil pity party. :-P
