Welcome to this wonderful place, it is nice to have a place like this when you have to deal with a life long chronic illness isn't it...I noticed by the meds you're taking that you must have crohn's colitis (CD affecting your colon) as I do...I thought I'd mention that taking a good probiotic daily has really helped me alot with my crohn's and my IBS, if you're interested in more info let me know...researchers are finally recognizing probiotics as a useful aid with symptoms/ GI disease/GI disorders.

I'm so glad you found us! It really is a wonderful place to find information, help others, and definitely be helped. I hope you keep posting :)

By the way, it looks like we're basically taking the same medicine except I am on humira instead of imuran...how is that working out for you?

Daisy,

Yes, this is a wonderful site. I was so down when I found this site, I am no good at accepting that I do not always have the energy to accomplish what I want. It was a blessing that the members here are so funny and have dealt with this Darn Disease long enough to learn to laugh at themselves. I am trying to do the same. I am often here stalking Nanners, gachrons, Randynoguts, and Sniper and others to read what they post. I get a hardy laugh and in the process I am learning to laugh at my self. Please continue to ramble on, the members here seem to have a high tolerance for that-they have accepted me as one of their own, and I am a master.Good Luck and Good Health to you in this New Year.

Crohn's for life, symptoms included terrible joint and soft tissue pain, just met first cousin who suffers from Reactive Arthritis-explains sooo much. Great control on SCD (when I'm good) and I get by with a lotta help from my friends!

pb4 ~ i do have crohn's in my colon and my small intestine but I just recently found out that it was in my colon. My GI told me right after I got my colonoscopy so I wasnt able to ask any questions, but my mom asked if I had ulcerative colitis and crohn's and he said no ?! I have a dr appt tomorrow and trust me I have lots and lots of questions for him. Thanks for suggesting the probiotic but I tried to take thos about 7 months ago, and it made me feel ..... like something wasnt right ..... like there was something in my stomach that shouldnt be there.

LMills ~ the meds are working out .... ok no nausea .... some pain, sores in my nose and mouth, tired, some joint pain and of course all the nasty side effects of pred. but all in all the meds are doing ok. I have just recently started talking all of them again. I was off all my meds for about 8 months. I have been on remicade and hurmia in the past. My GI wants to put me back on remicade or humira, and I have an appt tomorrow so I'll see whats going to happen.

everyone ~ thanks again and yes daisyrambler is a good name for me cause I do tend to ramble on and on ... lol sorry

God bless !! : )

Hmm, maybe try a different probiotic until you find one that doesn't make you feel the way you did, probiotics can be quite essential for IBDers because we tend to have bacterial over growth which typically exacerbates our symptoms.
