HI EVERYONE.  I HAVE CROHN'S DISEASE AND HAVE HAD IT NOW FOR 7 YEARS.  I RECENTLY HAD A SMALL BOWEL RESSECTION WITH TEMP. ILEOSTOMY.  I HAD THE REVERSAL IN OCTOBER.  SO FAR I FEEL A LITTLE BETTER BUT I HAVEN'T HAD A FORMED BOWEL MOVEMENT IN SEVEN YEARS.  ANYWAY I'M STILL HAVING PAIN WHEN I GO TO THE BATHROOM.  SPOKE WITH MY GI DOC AND HE SAYS HE WOULD LIKE TO DO A COLONOSCOPY.  HE ALSO WANTS TO PUT ME ON CIMZIA.  HAS ANYONE BEEN ON CIMZIA AND IF SO WHAT CAN I EXPECT?

Hi Bella,

There are a couple of people on Cimza here. I suggest you use the "Search" function at the top and middle of this page for faster answers.

Also, the color you chose makes your text difficult to read, and using all capitol letters makes it look like you are screaming. Please use regular case letters.

I hope you get the information you are loking for.
Thanks,
Diagnosed early 2007 with rectal Crohn's.  Several peri-rectal abscesses and two fistulas with setons.  Allergic to Remicade and Humira.  Currently on 6MP.

Bella, there's no need to be rude. Fallcolors was trying to help you find the information you need.

On this forum we have a new meds thread where we have some of our best conversations on medications, how we have dealt with them and their side effects, etc. The formatting gets a bit funny at times so you may need to cut and paste the URLs into your browser, but I hope you find them helpful.

Welcome to the forums.

Hi Bella,

You sound like you've had it bad...My husband has gone through the same 6 years ago. He had the temp Ilio for 6 months and has been relatively fine till the past 4-5 months his maintance meds stopped working MP6. He has been on cimzia for 3 shots now. The first two are two weeks apart then once monthly. Luckly insurance has paid for shots and a home nurse to inject. He says he feels great but only time will tell. I notice he has been tired, but tries to push on. He has'nt had any other complaints as of yet. let us know how everything goes. Good Luck

Tammy

thank you for the info.  i don't know yet if my doc is going to put me on so i just want to get some info before i commit. i've been on 6mp, humira, remicade, steroids, asacol, coloazol, azulfadine, bentyl, had blood transfusions, ongoing fever for no apparent reason, pentasa, severe anemia, and cronic fatigue and joint pain.  so yea i guess you can say i had it pretty bad before my surgery.  since the reversal i've been better and am currently on asacol.  i don't know what to do anymore.  but thank you for posting to me.  i appreciate it.  i hope your husband feels better.  and i hope you feel better.  good luck.
