A friend of mine has a 2 year old son who has been having issues since he was born. A team of drs has not been able to dx him at this point. Some of his symptoms include: mouth sores, light sensitivity, intolerance to lots of foods and issues going to the bathroom. They have tested him for allergies among many other things, but nothing positive is coming back at this time. Last week they did a sed rate and his was 70 (they told her that normal was 0-20) so they know there is some kind of inflammation in his body. They have a GI, Rhuematologist, dermatologist and peds dr working together. At one point they thought it was crohn's but they said they weren't sure. Scopes of throat and colon haven't shown anything that they are concerned about. I told her I would ask here to see if anyone could be helpful.
I know from my own experience with crohn's that I was misdiagnosed for 10+ years and the damaged was done. I had my first bowel resection last year only 18 months after an official dx. I'm just hoping to find something helpful for her and her family. Thanks in advance!!
