Kind of rough day...food poisoning?

I woke up this morning and felt gross, nauseous, and the guts were rumbling a lot. I get this odd thing where I can "feel" gas or BM's move through my bowels, especially I believe at the terminal ileum and end of the colon. It's crampy and if I touch where the BM/gas is it feels tender. Anyone else experience this? Doctor thinks this is IBS. Anyways...
 
I had that crampy/tender 'feeling' somewhat worse than usual, combined with a lot of queasiness. Ended up having one large BM followed by a lot of loose BM's. I felt gross so I only drank water...and puked it up violently, twice.
 
Then around 2pm, it just resolved. Is this is food poisoning? I looked at past posts about partial obstructions and this does not fit at all. I just don't know because I've never had either one before. I think I'm going to stick with liquids for a day or two just to give my system a break.

Sounds like a virus to me. Food poisoning would most likely have been more violent and lasted longer. Probably something you ate that just didn't agree with you. In any case, liquids for a day or two sounds like a good idea.
Dx'd Jan'06, 1st Resection 7/06, Humira, Imuran, B12 injections, Nexium, Lexapro, Nulev, Glucosamine, Multi-Vitamin, Calcium Citrate, Ultracet. Secondary conditions: Psorasis, Osteoarthritis, Fibromyalgia, Lactose Intolerant, gallstones, kidney stones & peri-menopausal.
