I was wondering if you guys think its worth talking to the doc about this again. I will be starting Humira in the next week or so, I also have kidney stones that need to be blasted as soon as i can save up for the co-pay. I curently have two "stints" (tubes between my kindeys and bladder) installed so my kidneys stay functional untill I can have the proceedure done. it does cause a small amout of bleeding from me moving and them being in soft tissue. I have been told that the Humira makes you more prone to things, might this cause a problem worth mentioning, or am I just being overly paranoid about starting a new drug? shocked
on a side note, anyone who is taking this stuff do you think i should start my "build-up" doses when i dont have to worry about being at work? (  the 4 pens, then, 2 pens thing) confused
I shed tears when I found this place...I have felt so alone for so long...Its good to know there are caring ppl out there who can understand where I'm coming from.

i would definitely mention the stints to your doc. As for the first dose, you might want to have your doc's nurse practitioner go through it with you, as it helps to have guidance that first time. But it's not going to take a long time, the injections themselves take 10 seconds. So as long as you dont psych yourself out, you could be in and out in a half hour. I was terrified the first time, so I talked to the nurse for a while before we did the injections. And then the adrenaline got pumping and I almost passed out from nervousness, so I had some juice and she gave me the first two, then I did two, and since then I've been on my own and just fine. I give myself the count of three and then click it.
