Has anyone else done the Team Challenge? I recieved a mailer about it and I'm interested in it but wanted to get some input from you guys.

1/2 marathon that supports the ccfa.  I believe the 2 this year are in Hawaii and Napa Valley.  I have never done it, but it is on my list of things I would like to do.

I would love to.  I was trying to do the last one- Texas I think but of course had a flare that's still continuing 6 months later...As soon as I am better I am going to try to start running again and one of these days will do the Team Challange!

I singed up for the Miami race in September, went to several training sessions and meetings. Which were all wonderful until I hurt my knee. Three months went by I raised all the money. I stopped training and I am now recovering from knee surgery two weeks ago. I am planning on running in Napa Valley this summer. From what I experienced I really enjoyed it. I met a lot of people with similar symptoms and it was really nice for a change to be around people that understood what you were going through. I say do it!

I haven't done it yet, but I plan on doing it for this summer. I really need to try and get in shape and lose some weight. I figured doing the Team Challenge would be perfect because I could walk it and it would be with people that understand all my Crohn's issues.

If team challenge is too much most chapters have a charity walk as well. That is usually only 3 miles.
27 Year old married female law student (last year!!). Diagnosed w/ CD 4 years ago, IBS for over 10 years before that, which was probably the CD. I am sort of lactose intollerant too but can handle anything cultured and do well w/ lactose pills and lactaid. For crohns I am currently on Pentasa 4 pills/4x day and hysociamine prn. I also have bad acid reflux and have been on PPI's since age 13. I have been through prilosec, prevacid, and nexium. Currently I am on Protonix in the morning and Zantac at night. I also take a birth control pill to allow some fun in my life.
