A friend mentioned this to me. I was a bit shocked to read up on it and am wondering a couple things..

How do they check for this? Blood test? Does insurance cover it?

It says it does not absorb correctly via oral dose, but they think it does via vein. I wonder how expensive something like this is?

I'm sure it's experimental? Any studies on it?

Hmmm....as you can tell, I'm desperate. Biologics or surgery.. I just want MORE options!

Kaycie,
I don't really know about testing for glutathione, but I have used NAC (N-Acetyl Cysteine) , a precurser for a long time. I do think it is helpful especially when I have a lot of mucus, as NAC is also a natural antihistamine. You might google N-Acetyl Cysteine, and check out the benefits.

Crohn's for life, symptoms included terrible joint and soft tissue pain, just met first cousin who suffers from Reactive Arthritis-explains sooo much. Great control on SCD (when I'm good) and I get by with a lotta help from my friends!

This antioxidant is mass produced when one takes "Whey" protein shakes.

Now, THAT is interesting, as when my grandfather was dying of lung cancer, they put him on whey protein shakes....
