For those of you I talked with and helped me so much last night in the chat room, I am very grateful....Just letting all of you know that I have no choice now but to go to the ER for my Crohns....Leaving in the next hour or so, I will let all of you know what the outcome is when I get out...Hopefully will just be an in and out situation and nothing serious...I am still throwing up blood, stomach is even more swollen than it was last night and in a lot of pain today....I will keep in touch and let you know as soon as I can....Thanks Again for all of your help last night....Margie

I wasn't one of the ones on chat lastnight, but wanted to send you some healing prayers that the ER is able to figure out whats going on and get you feeling better soon. Sounds miserable with what you are going thru, keep us posted.

Hi Everyone, well just got out of the Hospital yesterday afternoon from an absolutely horribly neglectful and unethical visit to the Hospital for care...What an absolute waist of time and energy it was only to come home with more problems then I had before I went in....I have no idea what to do, they didn't feed me but one meal a day of clear broth and one jello and a glass of water each and every day for the first 4 days, last 2 only gave me 2 meals of clear liquid and sent me home yesterday starved and still dehydrated all because of no insurance....what has the world come to when doctors treat you the way they do because you don't have the insurance or money....My God, they did a rectal exam in the middle of a conference room which they called a virtual room which had no privacy or bathroom/shower at all for the first 2 days of my stay.....I don't know what to do now, because I am now not only having the same problems but now also having breathing and eye problems too...the dehydration is getting so much worse for me and the hospital didn't even care and just sent me home anyways.
Thanks for all of your support!!!! Margie

Is there anyother hospital you can go to? That is horrible and I am so sorry you suffered so with such poor care. Sending (((GIANT HUGS))) and healing prayers your way.

Unbelievable Margie, now I feel bad for encouraging you to go to the hospital...have you made an appointment with your GI? Maybe he/she can be of more help to you?

I have no money to go see a doctor and no insurance and now no water, it was shut off 2 hours after I got home from the hospital....my life is such a mess right now.....don't know what is gonna happen....and pb4 don 't feel bad for encouraging me to go somewhere where anyone thinks that they would get help that they need, not something any of us would expect. As far as hospitals and doctors here in MI I don't trust any of them anymore as far as I could throw them....all a bunch of errogant jerks that are only out for their money...all the one could think of and ask several times was how I was going to pay for the bill....how is that for caring? sorry, just really sick and tired and down right now....Margie

My eyes were really opened with my daughter's first (and only) hospital admission. I had visions of holding her hand, offering morale support while competent and caring doctors did their best. HA!

I'm glad you are healhy enough to have the energy to be outraged and do hope that there is some other ER you can go to. If you have a GI, hope he/she answers your call today.

Have you asked your pharmasist if there are any electrolyte drinks available for dehydration ? Keep in touch as I thought about you all week. lol gail

Here I am a couple weeks after my initial hospital visit, I started vomiting blood again the other day, and now it is affecting my sex life and my gums and teeth....My mouth and lower jaw are extremely sore and my sex life well forget it, hurts to bad for any right now...My doctor from 2 years ago that I  hadn't seen called me 2 days after I was discharged from the hospital says he wants to see me in his office I said I had no way of getting there or paying for the visit even if I could....He said he would not charge me and wants to see me anyways....Almost sounds like a cover up because of the neglect in the hospital...Not sure what it is all about, but the office visit won't be until March 10th and I continue to lose weight and am getting worse every day now....Have no idea what to do, just tired, weak, in pain, throwing up blood, etc.....Thanks again for all of your support, means a lot to me...Margie

Hi Margie so glad you can see a Dr. and that he is not going to charge any fees. Margie could you call his office and tell them if they could get you in any sooner perhaps tell the nurse or recepionist about your symptoms. Did they do any test at all when you were in the hospital? Hang in there and keep in touch..lol gail

They can't get me in any sooner and as far as tests go they did a Catscan that really showed nothing when I first went into the hospital, but then they did another special Catscan where they had me drink 3 glasses of this stuff for 45 min. and then injected some dye in me through the IV and did another one, the doctor discharged me before getting the results of it, so have no idea if anything showed on it....I am not sure what he wants to see me for after not seeing him for 2-3 years though...so will be interesting to find out what he wants...thanks gachron and ivy for all of your support through this.....Margie

Hi Margie at least that will give them some idea as to what is going on with you. Hope they can at least give you some clue as to what is going on. Your right it sure has been awhile since your Dr. has seen you try not to worry though because it is far better to get some kind of results to help with getting better. lol gail

Gail,
I had vomiting of blood again last Saturday and woke up Sunday with my gums and chin all swollen, the only thing I can relate it to was the vomiting of the blood because of the Crohns....I got lucky for a change and a Dentist is seeing me in his office tomorrow for a new patient exam and x-rays for free for treatment....I am also going to check with another Hospitals Financial Dpt to see if they have any programs for people that are uninsured.....Sure hope they do, because this has been a horrible last couple of weeks for me...let you know later what happens with it and again thanks to all of you for your continued support through all of this, means the world to me.....Margie
